Watching the muppets on one date vs. having to watch it everyday for the next few years is definitely different giggling

At the very least, Emily's season will be more family-oriented... she's definitely not going to be making out with everything that moves, and if Ricki is really involved in her season like it seems, then maybe her F1 will be a decent fit for at least the short-term for BOTH of them

When does school begin in the fall for Ricki? By pushing everything forward at the beginning, would it not make the final airing date earlier and give Emily and her F1 (?) time to do their media in order to give Emily some time in August to wrap up summer with Ricki?

I don't think they altered the schedule for Emily's sake. It probably has more to do with the Castle premiere being on May 7. That leaves a space after DWTS the next week.

It's just a one week shift. It seems like more because of the leap year, but on the calendar, everything is basically the same, the premiere just jumped up one week. Not a huge change really.

I am wondering about the possibility of having a repeat episode at some point in the season. For Ashley's season they took a week off because of July 4, but I don't remember if they did that for Ali's or Jill's season as well.
