Filming is starting around roughly the same time Ashley's season did, but the premiere is a full week and a half earlier than Ashley's premiere. Does anyone know why?

Yeah. Em's season starts filming on March 14th, and premieres on May 14th. Ashley's season started filming on March 15th, and her premiere aired on May 23rd. It sounds like the end of her season will still be filming when the premiere airs, kind of like Jillian's.

Fans will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the cast walking into and out of the new Osso Restaurant & Lounge.

Emily Maynard and her date will enjoy a private dinner for two at Osso after they arrive on a red carpet with paparazzi in tow at around 9:00 PM.

After dinner, what’s being slated to be approximately 10:30 PM, the cast and crew of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” will come out of Osso and watch a live performance by national country artist, “Gloriana” on the NC Music Factory Fountain Plaza outdoor stage!

2) The producers cast a guy they think has no shot at Emily--just 'cause they thought he'd make viewers laugh.

I spoke with Bachelor mastermind Mike Fleiss (above) while reporting this story on all the comedy inspired by the show--and he let me in on the fact that one of the 25 guys is "unintentionally" very funny, so the producers brought him on for comic relief. I can only imagine...

The new US Weekly (with the Ben/Courtney cover story titled "Liar Liar) has a little blurb on Emily's season and also mentions the bar/restaurant shoot with "Emily's favorite band" Gloriana performing as her 1st 1 on 1 date.

I was wondering the same, so just thinking out loud here..

When does school begin in the fall for Ricki? By pushing everything forward at the beginning, would it not make the final airing date earlier and give Emily and her F1 (?) time to do their media in order to give Emily some time in August to wrap up summer with Ricki?

Or could simply be an issue with ABC's schedule. :Frown:

Muppets on ABC's The Bachelorette in May

Not exactly what I expected to read today, but the main spoiler guy for ABC's "reality" dating show "The Bachelorette" posted on twitter yesterday that the Muppets will be making an appearance during a date that will be filmed this Saturday. He didn't say which Muppets will be there.

He is legit, so this is happening, IMO. Kind of a bizarre place for them to pop up, but this year's Bachelorette has a young daughter, so maybe that is the reason? Could be fun, though!

Season premieres mid-May. Since they just started taping this week, I would assume this date would air during the 2nd episode.
