PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the Lifetime matchmaking series will officially return with expanded 90-minute episodes for its "Sweet 16" season, premiering on Jan. 4.

This season will also feature three additional episodes titled "Beyond Decision Day," where cameras will document the aftermath of Decision Day, and what happens when the experiment ends and real life begins.

Finally they realized filming after decision day would be a good idea.

I'm not too sure about 90 minute epi's.

Starts tonight. Let's see how this season turns out! I miss the earlier seasons when there was less drama and the couples actually wanted to make it work. Now we just have 1-2 or none who last.

Watching the episode.. don't think there will be any weddings shown as they are basically showing the guys and girls have separate talks/meeting for the first time and talking about what they look for in a spouse.

Talking about sex.. 2 of the guys did it 2 weeks before they found out One of the girls thinks the 25 year old is crazy for getting married so young as she wasn't ready then but at 32 she is. Sorry can't keep track of the girls' names right now. (Like the Bachelor/ette )

The girl's bachelorette party has strippers. Nicole is the crazy one who is all over them. Says she doesn't care because "she's still single." Now Gina is all over them kissing one of them. Oh boy. This party is wild. One of the girls' didn't really care for it though.

Guys' party is a little of the same but less crazy for once. Now talking amongst the group what they are nervous about the marriage. More sex talk.

Every season that I can remember, they have strippers at the bachelor/ette parties.

It sounds like they are ramping up the drama every season.

Did anyone catch the episodes last night? very interesting dynamics so far. It appears like a lot of these couples are somewhat compatible but of course a lot of time still left for it to all implode, .

I just read the recap since I didn't watch. It all sounds lovey dovey right now, but we know that a lot of the times, that doesn't last too long.

That's too bad Kirsten and Shaquille's honeymoon is delayed. That's awful.
