David Good’s Message to Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s Guys: “I’m Going to Marry Her” — Exclusive

Three years after first appearing on The Bachelorette Season 5, and two years after winning Bachelor Pad Season 1, David Good knows a thing or two about the ABC love journey. As good friend Emily Maynard’s Bachelorette season nears, David speaks exclusively to Wetpaint Entertainment about just how cool the blonde Southern beauty is — and doles out some advice for her contestants.

“Emily is a good friend of mine,” David explains, adding that they met awhile back in Washington, D.C. In fact, Emily is so cool, David doesn’t think ABC will show “the real” Emily. “They’re not going to show her out in public drinking, letting loose.” And it’s not just ABC who David thinks is protective of Em’s onscreen time; “She really cares about her public image,” David says, explaining that he expects the season to be pretty tame.

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his eye on Emily’s contestants! (Watch out, Chris Bukowski). “My message to Emily’s guys would be, don’t even worry about it, because I’m going to marry her,” David jokes, before adding more serious advice for the Season 8 crop of guys. “Just be yourself,” he urges, underscoring a simple — but ominous fact: “You’re on the show to get married.”

Ali Fedotowsky: Emily Maynard "Deserves to Find Love" on The Bachelorette

Having already gone through the Bachelorette experience, Ali Fedotowsky knows just what new leading lady Emily Maynard is up against -- and Fedotowsky says she is just right for the gig.

"Emily is amazing! She's such a sweetheart," Fedotowsky -- who recently split from her 2010 Bachelorette love match Roberto Martinez -- told Us Weekly at our annual Hot Hollywood bash Wednesday at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood. "If anyone deserves to find love, it's her."

Though fans were first introduced to single mom Maynard, 26, on Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor when she fell for the clean-cut winemaker, Fedotowsky hints Maynard's spinoff season may be a little different.

"Emily told me she likes guys with tattoos, so we'll see what kind of guys she has on this season," Fedotowsky, 27, says of Maynard. "It should be interesting. I'm psyched."

Filming her season in Charlotte, N.C., where she lives with her 6-year-old daughter Ricki, Maynard enjoyed her show's first one-on-one date March 16.

Dining at Italian eatery Osso with a contestant identified by show insiders as 31-year-old Ryan Bowers, Maynard later danced the night away with the Atlanta-based gym owner at a Gloriana concert.

"She looked happy, like she was having a nice time," an eyewitness told Us after their date. Still, the witness says, "Emily didn't kiss Ryan at the end of the song. She just gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek."

Exclusive Sneak Peek: 'Bachelorette' Emily Maynard

Emily Maynard is giving reality TV dating a second chance after breaking off her engagement to The Bachelor Brad Womack and will now search for a new fairy-tale romance as The Bachelorette. ET's got a sneak peek of Emily in the all-new season of this war of the roses.

"It's my turn, I'm The Bachelorette!" the 25-year-old single mother enthusiastically proclaims in the new promo for the eighth season of the show, premiering Monday May 14 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC. The promo promises plenty of surprises to keep the audience guessing from the very first night.

'Bachelorette' producers choosing Emily Maynard's theme song: Speak now, or forever hear Cher's 'Believe'

Bachelor/Bachelorette creator Mike Fleiss is making a decision that will affect us all: choosing the song for Emily Maynard’s season. Earlier today, Fleiss tweeted that they are “closing in” on a song and asked fans what they think of Cher’s ”Believe.” (It’s nice of him to ask, since we will be hearing it as often as “This Year’s Love” played during Bachelor Ben Flajnik’s “journey.”) I love that song, too, and see how the chorus — “Do you believe in life after love” — could fit Maynard, who had to pick up the pieces after losing the love of her life in a plane crash days before she learned she was pregnant. But when I think of Maynard, I don’t think of an Auto-Tuned club dance mix. The audience needs to know that she has a new energy, but you want to keep us thinking of her as sweet and genuine.

Let’s offer some other suggestions. Mine: Celine Dion’s “A New Day Has Come.” Watch the video below. Read the lyrics here. ‘The Bachelorette’ 2012 Spoilers – Reliable Source Leaks Small, but Major Detail About Emily

A reliable source has leaked a small, but major detail about Emily Maynard on Twitter. All season “The Bachelorette” 2012 spoilers have been informative since filming began in March. Now Emily is nearing the end of the show as she visits the final four’s hometowns.

Producer, Mike Fleiss, has been impressed with Emily’s journey finding love and has given small “Bachelorette” spoilers here and there the last month-and-a-half. He recently tweeted that he believes Emily will find love in her heart by the end of the show.

Mike tweeted late Monday:

“It’s all good with @EmilyMaynard!!! I think she is going to complete her journey with love in her heart…”

On Tuesday he posted a tweet for input on a song for Emily’s season of “The Bachelorette” 2012:

“We are closing in on a song for Emily’s season. How does #Bachelornation feel about “Believe” by Cher. I just love that song”

Emily Maynard’s final four men were revealed last week as the ones she’ll pick from, according to “Bacheloette” 2012 spoilers. The men showing Emily their hometowns are Chris Bukowski, Jef Holm, Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and Sean Lowe. Originally Ryan Bowers, a gym owner and football player from Evans, Georgia, was rumored to be the man Emily would fall hardest for, but he was eliminated sometime before the sixth episode was preparing to film in Europe.

Will Emily find love this season on “The Bachelorette” after all? She went on the show willing to settle for finding a good man she could fall in love with, not necessarily marry. Fans of the southern blonde are dying to see if being on the reality show exceeded her expectations in the romance department. She was cautious about expecting too much during her journey. All of that could have changed, judging by Mike Fleiss’ tweets. Is he just teasing fans or has Emily genuinely found love again?

Instantly popular with "Bachelor" fans, Emily's strength, passion and southern charm - as a mother and as a woman - would make anyone happy to make her his wife. She feels incredibly grateful to have found her first love when she was very young, although her fiance, famed NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick, tragically died in a plane crash. She then discovered she was pregnant with their child, the apple of her eye - Ricki. Despite not having dated a lot, Emily, 26, knows what it's like to be truly in love. In the past seven years, she has been looking for someone with the same spark she has for life, and she believes that she will find her soul mate on "The Bachelorette."

On the premiere, "Episode 801," Emily's journey begins in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lives with her six-year-old daughter, Ricki. After saying "good night" to Ricki, Emily arrives at a southern mansion where she meets her 25 potential soulmates who have traveled across the country. They include a biology teacher, a mushroom farmer, a marine biologist and a ex-professional football player. Emily is nervous, but her anxiety slips away and soon turns to laughter as a single dad produces a glass slipper and proclaims her a princess; a youthful entrepreneur swoops in on a skateboard; a party MC shows off his dance moves; and a southern gentleman brings something special that symbolizes his dedication to protecting her and Ricki. But although one man's grand entrance in a helicopter impresses Emily, it only makes him a target of jealousy and ridicule from the other bachelors.

Inside the mansion, the battle is on among the eager suitors vying for the attention of the southern belle. A confident man is eager to charm Emily, but he is upstaged by a single father of six excited to show off his family photos to her. One handsome man wins her over with a pair of custom bobble head dolls, but another bachelor is extremely nervous when he reveals his career, fearing that it will remind her of her late fiance. The night turns more emotional when another single dad brings her a heartwarming letter from his 11-year-old son. The competition erupts into a full-fledged competition when Chris Harrison brings out the coveted first impression rose. A tough-talking entertainer confronts the wealthy suitor who dropped in via helicopter, accusing him of being selfish and insincere. But unaware of the tension, Emily is stolen away by the skateboarder, whose soft-spoken and self-confident ways impress her. Everyone holds their breath as Emily gives out the first impression rose to one charming bachelor, but no one can blame her for choosing him. By the end of the night, Emily will have 19 men left to compete for her affections and, in the end, her heart.

Emily's hunt for Mr. Right will take place during some of the most romantic and adventurous dates ever, with exciting surprises in store for both her and her bachelors as they travel around the world for intimate dates in Bermuda, London, Dubrovnik, Prague and other exciting locations. A jam packed schedule in Charlotte has Emily taking one lucky man to an exclusive red carpet affair, including a romantic dinner for two and a special concert by hit country band Gloriana. Emily may have to kiss one more frog to get her prince as she and a group of bachelors perform live for a worthy cause with The Muppets, including Kermit and Miss Piggy. Country music star Luke Bryan serenades Emily and one handsome bachelor, but only after the two attempt to scale a tall building. Even Emily's best friends get to grill 12 of the men and put them to the test in a park full of children. In a delightful surprise to both Emily and one of the men, they travel to one of Emily's favorite places - Dollywood -- and are serenaded by none other than the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton.

Then Emily and the remaining men journey to beautiful Bermuda. But three bachelors will not be leaving the Bermuda Triangle with her at the end of their stay. The bachelorette then whisks the remaining men across the Atlantic to London for a week of royal romance, including a double-decker bus tour of Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park and a very special dinner with one lucky guy in the Tower of London. A group of the bachelors do their best to harness their inner thespians as they rehearse and perform scenes from "Romeo and Juliet" in Stratford-on-Avon. Historic and picturesque Dubrovnik is the backdrop for the group's next set of romantic adventures. After a sneak peek at the next eagerly awaited Pixar film, "Brave," a group of spirited bachelors compete in a round of Highland games in order to win extra time with Emily. The magnificent city of Prague plays host to Emily and her remaining men as they variously have a private dinner cruise down the Vltava River, explore a medieval castle and even have a date to marionette shop and visit the Lennon Wall of Love and a spooky dungeon. Finally, after the crucial hometown dates, three lucky men travel with Emily to an exotic destination for some of the most intimate and sensual overnight dates ever. Emily will have traveled the world again for love, but will she finally make her own fairytale come true?

As in the past, men will continue to be eliminated each week, but if at any point along the way a bachelor should decide that he's no longer interested in the Bachelorette, he can reject her invitation to continue dating. Two lucky men will meet her family, and she will visit the final bachelors' hometowns for a slice of their lives in an effort to determine the man with whom she is most compatible -- but there are surprises in store for Emily that will shake her world. At the end of the journey, the Bachelorette may quite possibly have found true love. But the big question is: After all of this, will he pop the question, and will she say yes?

‘Southern belle’ bachelorette gets teamed with Muppets

In advance of the debut next month of “The Bachelorette,” ABC has released some details of this season’s show: Charlotte’s Emily Maynard, the bachelorette, gets a scene with the Muppets.

ABC says Maynard and a group of her suitors perform in a charity event with Kermit, Miss Piggy and other Muppets as part of the series, which debuts at 9:30 May 14 (Channel 9).

Thematically, Maynard will be apparently cast in classic southern stereotype. A statement from the network’s publicity department says she will greet her beaus “at a southern mansion” in Charlotte and describes Maynard as a “southern belle,” although in fact she grew up in Morgantown, W.Va., which lies six miles south of the Mason-Dixon line and was Union territory in the Civil War.

As she eliminates undesirable partners week-to-week, Maynard and her retinue will travel to various destinations, including Bermuda, London and Prague. ABC says Maynard will also take one of the potential mates “to one of Emily’s favorite places – Dollywood,” where they will be serenaded by Dolly Parton.

In one stunt, Maynard and a bachelor scale the side of the Mint Museum Uptown (ABC describes it as “a tall building;” in truth, it’s five stories), then are sung to by country star Luke Bryan.

Among the men Maynard will get to chose from are a biology teacher, a mushroom farmer, a marine biologist, a party DJ and a former pro football player. One guy arrives at the initial meeting with Maynard in a helicopter. ABC says it will release the names of her suitors soon.

The Bachelorette Emily Maynard Doesn’t Have A Front Runner [AUDIO]

The new season of The Bachelorette starring Emily Maynard will be premiering in exactly 2 weeks on May 14th on ABC so to whet your appetite we had a spy do a little poking around to see how it’s going for Emily. Things are going very well. She’s definitely found love, but the problem is…she’s found a lot of it!

All the guys she’s picked thus far are very different, but she likes all of them, and there doesn’t seem to be a clear cut front runner. In fact, it may end up being the hardest winner to pick in the history of the show.

This one sounds like it’s gonna be fun.

Is Bentley Coming Back To ‘The Bachelorette’ To Taunt Emily Maynard?

The Bachelorette is back for its eighth season with former Bachelor winner Emily Maynard as the lady of honor! To kick off this new season, ABC released a promo clip so nail-bitingly mysterious that we have to ask, is there more than meets the eye?

The clip opens up with southern belle happily cheering, “It’s my turn! I’m a Bachelorette!” The clip then gives fans a taste of what’s to come this season, including what seems like a Cinderella-inspired moment and a kiss shared with Kermit the Frog. Perhaps The Bachelorette will take a fairy-tale spin this season?

The teaser also shows the 25 contestants gasping, “Is that Bentley?! Is that Brad?!” as a mysterious helicopter flies onto The Bachelorette pad with an even more mysterious voice-over that states that this will be a “…season that will keep you guessing from the very first night!”

But could that really be Bentley or Brad in the helicopter? RumorFix reached out to a source extremely close to the show’s production team who tells us, “It’s just one of the normal guys. He arrived in a helicopter and all the guys thought it was Brad or Bentley, but it’s confirmed that it’s just one of Emily’s 25 contenders.”

There's at least one more Utahn on "The Bachelorette"

"The Bachelorette" kicks off a new season on Monday, May 14, and once again there's a Utahn involved.

Maybe two Utahns, but that might just be ABC teasing viewers.

We do now that one of the men pursuing bachelorette Emily Maynards is "Jef, 27, an entrepreneur from Salt Lake City, UT."

Turns out that's Jef Holm, who grew up in St. George and lives in Pleasant Grove.

Hey, this is the show that thought Puerto Rico was a foreign country, so thinking Pleasant Grove is part of Salt Lake City is no big deal. They're only 36 miles apart.

Holm is a co-founder of People Water in Pleasant Grove,

According to ABC, the "successful entrepeneur springs onto the scene on a skateboard" in the season premiere of "The Bachelorette."

According to some of the spoiler websites, Holm will do pretty well in the competition for Maynard's heart. But you never know if you can believe the spoiler sites.

As for the possible other Utahn, ABC has been running ads with one of the bachelors saying, "Is that Bentley?"

It's supposed to make us think Bentley Williams - the villain of Season 8 of "The Bachelorette" - is back.

I suppose it's possible. But it's also possible ABC is just running those ads to make fans think the man they hated so passionately will be on the show and tune in to find out for sure.
