Emily Maynard is ready to find love again!

One year after famously being jilted by Brad Womack on The Bachelor, single mom Maynard, 26, is getting a second chance at love on ABC's Bachelorette.

Premiering May 14, Maynard's season -- which follows that of Ashley Hebert -- will find the West Virginia native wining and dining 25 eligible bachelors in hopes of snagging The One.

When the series kicks off, Maynard will meet her potential suitors in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C., where she lives with her daughter, Ricki, 6.

On March 16, Maynard enjoyed her first one-on-one date as the new bachelorette, dining at local Italian eatery Osso with a contestant show insiders have identified as Ryan Bowers, 31, an Atlanta-based gym owner. After dinner, the pair danced the night away at a concert by Gloriana, one of Maynard's favorite bands.

An insider tells Us Weekly Maynard was hesitant to begin production on The Bachelorette. "She's excited, but she's also scared about it," the source explains. "She's very shy, and it's hard to put herself out there again."

Emily was on a date with a dark-haired contestant, whose name we don't yet know (drat!). Our source tells us that they were filming a date for Season 8, Episode 7.

Emily Maynard's The Bachelorette Portrait Revealed

It's off to the roses!

Emily Maynard's official portrait for her upcoming season of The Bachelorette has been revealed exclusively to PEOPLE.

Maynard, 26, whom Brad Womack chose as the winner on his season of The Bachelor, has said she's "scared to death" about looking for love on television again.

Last June, she and Womack announced they had called off their engagement.

This season of The Bachelorette will be filmed in North Carolina, with single mom Maynard shooting scenes at her home in Charlotte and her suitors living in a six-bedroom house nearby.

The Bachelorette premieres May 14 at 9:30 ET on ABC.

'Bachelorette' Spoilers: More Confirmed Contestants, 'Emily's a Demanding Diva' for Having Standards

Previously in Bachelorette season 8 spoilers: Part One, Part Two and Part Three.

This week, ABC released 14 official photos of Bachelorette Emily Maynard looking lovely and love-hungry, ready and willing to hand out a bunch of roses to her handsome suitors. And this week, Reality Steve revealed who two more of those handsome suitors are! Plus, we also learned rumors of Emily's "diva" behavior and new filming locations.

Here's what's new in the world of reality dating show sleuthing:

Meet Tony: He's 30, he's from Portland, he's a "lumber trader" because yes that's a real thing, and GUESS WHAT he's also a fitness model with abs so defined you could use them as an ice cube tray mold.

Meet Kyle: He's 28, he's from Long Beach, he's a financial adviser, and the only photo that Steve could find of him is from college in 2001. I hope he still has that haircut! Weatherman 2.0!

Last we checked in, Emily and her finalists, I mean maybe-husbands, were in Croatia.

But first, let's backtrack a bit: The sleuths over at Bachelor & Bachelorette Fans Forum found these hilarious, pixel-y pictures of some of Emily's men on her Romeo & Juliet play date: Looks like we've got the Nurse, a few nameless Capulets and Montagues, and is that Lady Capulet? And a ninja? I don't remember a ninja being in that play.

Prague: From there, filming moved to Prague, it seems. A source shared these three photos of Emily (looking adorable in lace shorts) on a date with a tall, handsome man (name TBD) in Prague, along with this info: "Emily and her date were spotted getting super kissy on the bridge, and they certainly have the look of love in these photos. The pair walked on the bridge with their arms wrapped around each other."

What a Diva: InTouch Weekly is spreading word that Emily is a "demanding diva" because she accepted the $250,000 that ABC offered to pay her, and because she has standards. The mag says that Emily asked that the show "pre-qualify" the guys to make sure she doesn't get any losers, broke guys or Bentleys. Something that they're supposed to be doing ANYWAY, I might add. "She wanted only the best-looking, most mannered guys," the source reveals. Um, WHO DOESN'T?

Emily is also a total diva because she's doing what she's supposed to be doing: Sending guys home. "She's whittling it down to a handful of candidates who she will spend a lot more time with," the magazine quotes their source. "If she doesn't like a guy, he's gone." YEAH, BECAUSE THAT'S HOW THE SHOW WORKS.

Jumping Ship: Reality Steve also posted that one of Emily's guys voluntarily left the show -- though the circumstances are yet unclear, follow this link to find out who did himself in.

Dispatches from the Fleiss: Bachelor executive producer tweeted on April 8: "@EmilyMaynard just delivered another bachelorette first!!!," and then, "Turns out a rose in not always a rose..." So take that as you will.

Perhaps due to the fact they’re both endlessly adorable, or due to the fact that it’s rare for a Bachelor/ette love story to end in marriage, everyone is rooting for Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum to tie the knot already. But, despite being engaged for almost a year now, Team Cupcake hasn’t revealed any wedding plans yet.

In an exclusive interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, Ashley and J.P. took a moment to speak candidly about what advice they have for the newest Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, and her bevy of handsome Season 8 suitors. Plus, they reveal the one thing that made Ashley positive J.P. was the man for her.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Have you set a wedding date yet?
Ashley: No!
JP: Yes, and you’re the first one to find out!
Ashley: No, no, we have not yet. We don’t know anything yet, and if we did, we wouldn’t be telling people yet.

What advice do you have for Emily Maynard?
Ashley: I mean, I’m sure she’s doing a great job on her own. I think everybody kind of has a different experience, so it’s hard, but I can say from what I learned, probably just be open-minded, trust your gut instinct, don’t listen to what anyone says around you. And really try to be strong throughout the airings, it can be really hard on you.

Do you have any advice for the men trying to win her heart?
JP: Yeah, just don’t try too hard. Just be yourself. Don’t try to impress her, just be you. That’s the best you can do.

What was the one thing JP did on your season to convince you he was the one?
Ashley: I think he was just the most real to me. We had something… The thing about JP is I always felt like I could tell him anything. He was the one who I felt like I could confide in. So that was important to me. He was just the most real, I felt. If it was going to work on the show, it was going to work in real life too.

A Wetpaint Entertainment source snapped these exclusive photos of Emily filming a date scene for Season 8, Episode 7 at the Charles Bridge earlier today (April 13). While we don’t know the identity of this particular man, he's been seemingly right at Emily's side for the duration of filming this season — and is giving fan favorite Ryan Bowers a run for his money.

Our source tells us that Emily and her date were spotted getting super kissy on the bridge, and they certainly have the look of love in these photos. The pair walked on the bridge with their arms wrapped around each other. Emily was spotted wearing sparkly silver shorts and brown cowboy boots while her male companion wore a navy blue sweater and jeans.

Could this handsome man be the one who will win Emily’s heart? Our source said that the two looked very close, so it isn’t out of the question!

Bachelorette 2012 Spoiler: Emily Maynard Gets an Angry Goodbye in Prague — Exclusive

All’s fair in love and The Bachelorette! On the day we finally found out the (likely) name of the mystery man spotted making out with Emily Maynard on the Saint Charles Bridge in Prague, we learned of an upsetting departure. An exclusive Wetpaint Entertainment source witnessed a “visibly upset” Doug Clerget being filmed leaving his Prague hotel — and most likely The Bachelorette Season 8 filming — for good.

Our source overheard Doug, right, who had just come back from his date with Emily, telling the camera crew: “I think she made a mistake; she wanted me to make a move and make out with her, but I just didn’t do it.”

Sounds like Emily most likely won’t be traveling with Doug to Tacoma, WA when the hometown dates begin next week! Doug, 33, is a realtor and philanthropist based out of the Pacific Northwest — and he’s also a single dad to 11-year-old son Austin.

The new Star mag (stars who are addicted to diets cover) has a one page article inside with paparazzi pictures of Emily on a date in Dubrovnik with a man they identify as Travis Pope. The story reports that they seemed to be laughing and having a good time together. The story also says there were instances on their date when the crew would set up on on a side street but then Emily and Travis wouldn't turn into that side street, forcing the crew to scramble, take their equipment down, and then set up again in the streets where they did turn.

I don't know if these pictures are new but I didn't see them in the Travis Pope thread. In fact I'm now wishing I'd looked more closely at the pictures in Star because when I saw them I assumed they were already out.

The pictures definitely look friendly and comfortable. No PDA in the pictures.

‘Bachelorette’ Star Emily Maynard Has A New Man

It seems the reality TV dating world really suits Emily because she’s already found great chemistry with a new guy while on vacation in Croatia!

Emily Maynard is on her quest to find true love! The former star of The Bachelor is next season’s star of The Bachelorette and she definitely has her pick of suitors. But Star reports that one of the men has really caught her eye!

It turns out that Emily has been spending quite a bit of time with Travis Pope, 30, a sales rep for the daily Clarion-Ledger in Mississippi. The two have been shooting scenes for the upcoming reality dating show in Dubrovnik, Croatia and Emily is reportedly smitten!

“They looked really comfortable together, laughing, talking while they took in the sights of the Old Town section of Dubrovkin,” the eyewitness says. “You could tell they weren’t recognized because outside of the crew, only a couple people were following them around, most onlookers had no idea who Emily was.”

Emily famously was chosen by Brad Womack on The Bachelor last year and the two broke up a few months after. Emily was once engaged to NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, and together they had a six-year-old daughter Ricki.
