Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer Get Engaged in 'Bachelorette' Finale: 'You Fought for Me So Hard'

PROPOSAL DAY
Gabby entered proposal day wanting an engagement from Erich, but didn't know if Erich would get down on one knee.
But when she got in front of him, Gabby laid out all of her feelings.
"You've loved me before I knew how to love me," she said. "You fought for me so hard."
Gabby told Erich he meant the world to her.
"I thought that you were too good to be true, but now I know that you are too good, but you're also true," she continued. "I love you and I want to love you as long as you let me. And I'm sure for much longer after that."
They kissed, and Erich professed his love for Gabby.
"You deserve somebody that's going to give you 100 percent," Erich said, adding, "the reason why I'm standing in front of you because I want to be that person for you."

You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer are ready for whatever the future holds. ET's Rachel Smith spoke to the nurse on Wednesday, one day after her engagement to the real estate analyst was revealed on Tuesday night's season finale of The Bachelorette, and Gabby shared the next steps she and her fiancé are taking in their relationship.
"We're both in L.A., so it’s nice already to be in the same city," Gabby tells ET. "I think we're just excited to live life together, finally, and not have separate lives that we mesh like every couple weeks. We get to combine our lives and do things together."
"I feel like that is our priority right now, is to just be with each other and enjoy the little things that we haven’t," she adds, "and then all the moving in and stuff like that."
Since getting engaged in May, Gabby says she and Erich have already learned a ton about each other.
"He's really thoughtful," she gushes. "We talked about love languages a lot and I think his are acts of service or gifts, which you can't really show on the show. Now that we're spending time outside of the show, I'm learning how he shows affection, which has been fun."

Gabby danced a V. Waltz tonight. It was a cute dance, did very well. Judges said she has to work on her shoulders. She tied for the top score. Erich appeared in her rehearsals and walked up at the end of the dance to give her a hug and kiss. It was sweet.

Great article. When there is complete trust, that's half the battle in a relationship imo.

Nothing against Gabby, she was a good Bachelorette, but this season was the worst I have watched, and doesn’t deserve any attention.
OTOH, season 8 of Game of Thrones won an Emmy for “Outstanding Drama Series”, so you realize that these awards have very little to do with quality.
