It’s no secret that Lifetime renewed Married at First Sight through Season 17. Long before the the Season 12 couples revealed their final decisions, however, the producers were already looking for a new crop of singles. As the Houston Chronicle reported, casting for MAFS Season 13 was already underway in August, and producers had already put out a casting call for Houston-area singles who consider themselves “brave and ready to take the ultimate leap of faith.”

That’s not all fans have to look forward to: Kinetic Content Casting posted on May 7 that a Boston MAFS installment was in its final week of casting, with all applications due on May 14. As fans may recall, Boston was also the setting for the reality series’ sixth season, which ended in only one of the three couples (fan favorites Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre) staying together. According to Boston.com, filming is expected to take place sometime between June and early August.

Although Lifetime has yet to announce details on either season, here’s what we know so far.

The Matchmaking Special Episode is this coming Wednesday evening. They don't seem to want to have too much time between seasons anymore. I will give it a chance -- hope they don't cast another Chris personality, though.

I'm not going to be able to watch it. I'll be glued to Hockey playoff's. If anyone watches, I appreciate updates!

Did anyone watch the Matchmaking Special?

I didn't watch it. Now that hockey is over, and soon to be soccer I'll be able to watch it.

I just found a repeat, they are about to tell the couples they have been chosen. I didn't start from the beginning, just got into it. I'm not sure what epi that is? It says 6-8pm on my TV Guide, but the post up thread says one hour?

Zach and Michaela are adorable.

Brett and Ryan I'm not sure about these two. They both are way to excited.

Johnny and Bao - They are so darn cute. Did I see a quick preview with a voice over that some guy says he knows her while they showed Johnny at the alter? These two should be ok because Dr Pepper is putting doubt in Bao's list of what she doesn't want. Her reaction was priceless. Oh his too, very happy. He's controlling? hmmm

Gil and Myrla - Not liking that he just got over another relationship? oh boy her too?

Rachel and Jose - He's a perfectionist, that's not easy for someone if they can't handle it. She's cute, they make a sweet looking couple.

Kicking off Houston is loosing me. They are all over the place. Why is it 3 hours? It started 9pmE no way am I going to stay up till midnight. It's nice to see some of the former couples though.
