Laura pulling back the curtains in this interview. Interestingly she is one of the few “unticked” girls, along with Steph, despite the 2 of them being larger characters this season. Nothing here that we didn’t know already, but pretty bad move by production to make them sign the new social media contract after filming had commenced.
I suppose anyone who would refused would have been cut at the next RC, and given no screen time, or maybe completely edited out.

Jimmy with his rose coloured glasses.    Anyone see their IG Q & A yesterday?  Holly wasn't bothered about watching him kiss other girls, is looking forward to him going back to work (because she's so "independent") and won't let him put up his fishy wall art in his own apartment.  What a peach.

@Bobette exactly! Wouldn't be surprised if Holly was the instigator of all the rumours re Jay just getting Tahnee to do her dirty work

The producers were behind the rumours IMO. Still not sure what Jay did to piss them off though. Hopefully with time the truth will out.

We know what Steph did to piss them off but I wonder about the others.  I'm thinking maybe Bek just flat out refused to sign the SM contract since she was the only girl who's account was never private and she had her own non-show profile pic for ages.  

Stevie set up those pap pics walking her dog so that probably earned her a slap on the wrist and I guess they anticipated that Laura was going to blab.  I wonder if the others can have their ticks taken away if they start giving tell all interviews post-show.

The thing is though, production, or channel 10 don’t hand out the blue ticks. Instagram does, and surely they’re not going to withhold it because production wants them to. I found this article explaining the verification process

So when production still had control of the accounts they were the gatekeeper of the blue tick because they would have applied for the verification, which is why all productions pets were verified early, but once the girls have control again and can apply for it themselves I don’t see that Insta is going to not verify someone who was on the show because production wants them to?

I was thinking about it from the the opposite direction - that the girls who have ticks only got them because Ch 10 arranged it with Instagram. Most of them only have a handful of followers and would never have got verified by going through the usual process IMO.  

The four leftovers could and probably have apply off their own backs, but I doubt they'll get it.  None of these girls are "notable" IMO, including the F1 who got barely any screentime, and I doubt most would have been verified without Ch 10 pulling strings for them.

She speaks! Jay just posted a story referring to her Bach portrayal and said she's glad so many people "saw through it" and she's looking forward to posting nutritional content which isn't "heavily edited". Probably as much as she can get away with saying for now.
