Is it me or was Serena’s date a 2.0 of Blake’s date with Tayshia? Almost the exact storyline and reactions with the being off kilter and tuning out IMO

My thoughts on tonight's installment of "the most dramatic season ever" (and not for reasons that any of us ever wanted...):

I'm over the mean girl behavior. Yes, Heather's intrusion was annoying. But the comments of "B--ch," "Go home!" and "This virus" are not going to wear well. I could say that Matt handled the Heather situation well, but I think instead that he made a conscious decision to avoid drama because he already knew who he wanted. That was pretty much the theme of this episode, and everything else flowed from that.

Matt to me has has all of the enthusiasm of someone interviewing candidates for a job. He knows how to string the women along while staying noncommittal. Thank you for your resume, but don't call him, he'll call you. No wonder Rachael never knows where his head is at.

In a strange twist, Serena P. put herself in the friend zone. Yoga would have been the perfect date to nudge a relationship closer, but it just wasn't happening for her. So why a rose? I think Matt gave her a rose for the same reason that other leads have taken a pal into hometowns. He likes her, the hometown will likely be low drama, and she'll eventually be an easy elimination. I did admire the swirling snow on the night skating portion of the date.

When Bri mentioned that she had to quit a job that she loved, the momentary expression on Matt's face was, oh ****, maybe you shouldn't have done that. Twenty-something me might have done something similar if I found myself seriously into a guy. Mature me appreciates a dream job and would have told the guy to fish or cut bait before zero hour. Which is why I have to hand it to both Abigail and Kit. Abigail starkly laid out what she wanted, and my heart hurt for her when she was turned aside. Kit showed an unexpected maturity in her exit. Despite some errors along the way, I like her a lot. I like how she's not afraid to say where she's at, despite the potential loss of a relationship.  I like her sometimes dry sense of humor -- "I'm a long term investment." I've felt from the beginning that the producers see a future with the franchise in her -- a tour or two of Paradise at a minimum, and also as a potential lead somewhere down the road.

Matt pulling Rachael outside to listen to Aloe Blacc felt like a slap in the face to the other women. (By the way, did the sound for Aloe Blacc cut out for anyone else? I could hear Matt and Rachael just fine, but the singing was inexplicably faint.)

Jessenia's drift date was cute. Sometimes I look at a cast member and say, "Off to Paradise with you." She'll do well there.

I fell asleep the last few minutes of the show.

@Amethyst You need to watch the last rose ceremony and add more to your post...
 I agree with your points. Abigail was very graceful after she got sent home. She was articulate when she laid everything on the table.. I think she has more backbone and is more put together than we see.. it suckz that we never got to see her fun part on the show.
I love Kit too. I feel she would outgrow being reactive and probably do better in the future. 
I agree that Matt had zero chemistry with Serena P... nothing whatsoever...

I'm in Texas and have been lucky with power so far but our internet is off and on so it took me a while to watch tonight.

Serena P's one on one date seemed like a waste of time. I don't know why Matt gave it and the rose to her because I don't see a connection at all. Pieper would have made more sense, imo.

The GD was strange because we didn't see the day portion. Isn't that at least twice this season? I felt for Abigail but he would have given her a date if he wanted to. She's very sweet and I hope she finds a special guy at home. I thought for sure that Bri would get the GD rose after telling Matt she quit her job for him. I wasn't shocked by the after-date because it's been done on TB before but I felt bad for the others. I wasn't much of a Kit fan and think she left before she didn't get a rose.

Jessinia's date was a throw away for me. I like her well enough but really didn't like the way she treated Heather. Speaking of Heather, I didn't like the whole trying to come back but this whole mean girl thing has gotten so old.

Michelle's my gal this season and I'd love to see her as lead. I really like Bri also.

I know Hannah Brown made a trip to Nemocolin which I thought was to film something to do with Matt's season. Does anyone think they edited her part out? Next week is hometowns and then fantasy overnight and Meet Matts family. Where would Hannah Brown fit in with any of that? anyone?

I think there has been enough racism this season without adding in HB’s. She has a plantation Southern Belle pic as well. TPTB would be smart to leave any footage of her on the cutting room floor as they are already in plenty of hot water.
