I would be happy if Katie were to be the next Bach'ette. I think that at age 29 (did she have a birthday and is now 30?) she could lend a more mature outlook to this show.

@Doats I don't think being older should be THE criteria.. Clare was the oldest Bachelorette...

 Same here. I have no interest in watching her season. I don't think she will be all that entertaining, easy to say that about her as a contestant but I think she will come off differently as a lead IMO. Still, I won't be watching.

@chasus71 She didn't come off so well during the WTA.. its like something was missing.. Like we were sold on a false persona... IMO

 I agree with you on this 100%. Even on the show for me anyway, she was playing a certain type. The way she got all emotional because she wasn't spending time with Matt, just came off as "fake". I just did not find her a bit entertaining even on the show, but she sure did show off her two faced personality for the camera, IMO.

I couldn’t see any hint of a romantic connection with Matt and Katie. That makes it difficult to envision her as lead. There wasn’t much romantic with Abigail either but I favour her direct conversations about herself & future. I also like Michelle’s girl-next-door positive vibe and that she is informed on current events.
IMO Katie did attract a lot of fans. I don’t dislike her, I just like other choices more.

I never said that being older was THE criteria.

And I never cared for Clare from day 1; didn't give a hoot how old she was.

I like Katie and would watch but don't know why they wouldn't use this opportunity to pick a WOC when they have such great choices. It's very disappointing if true.
