I think they would do a summer wedding either before or after the start of the new season of the Bachelorette.

I am pretty sure that, like many New Yorkers, they don't own a car. But I heard or read somewhere that they used a Rosenbaum car when Ashley moved up from Philly. So, if they are driving to Maine, they could either rent a car or maybe use Mom and Dad's car, especially if Mom and Dad are out of town. But then again, why would they want to drive 10 hours in the first place? Maybe it's because they have lots of gifts to transport...or maybe they have a passenger whose name starts with B. Just thinking out loud...

Thanks we were under the impression the Land Rover was JP's. Is it his parents car? :Grin: Madawaska weather forecast is for lots of snow Christmas week, they may need chains or snow tires. :giggle: OR they may need Santa's sleigh if they have that many gift to take up there. The reason I assumed they are flying to Portland is because the article said they are renting a car to drive 5 hrs. to Madawaska and that's the amount of time to drive from Portland. It's also 5 hrs. to drive from NYC to Portland, which is a 10 hr. trip from NYC to Madawaska.

Hopefully JP Rosenbaum will not be in Roberto Martinez’s shoes next year, but he can definitely empathize with the guy.

JP found love with Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette Season 7 and they are currently engaged. However, their predecessors — Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and her Season 6 Chosen One, Roberto — broke up last month, right before Thanksgiving, 18 months after their engagement.

What does JP think about the latest Bachelor Nation split? ”I met Ali. She’s a sweetheart. I’ve spoken to Roberto, great guy,” J.P. told HollywoodLife. “Hopefully they’ll find happiness elsewhere.”

JP sympathizes with them — not only as a new couple trying to make it work, but as a couple living in the public eye. “I know what they go through,” JP told HollywoodLife. “I can speak to that. It’s like dating. Dating never works out. Odds are against you from the start, so everybody is so surprised when it doesn’t work out because it’s supposed to work out. They were on a show. It’s life.”

Cupcake, you sound so cynical! JP and Ashley were also on a show, so hopefully this isn’t a foreshadowing statement about their relationship.

This quote has sounded odd to me from the start because it just doesn't make sense, and JP is always so well spoken and chooses his words carefully. My guess is that it was taken out of context or misquoted.

Sorry, but I don't get JP's claim. How do people marry, if they don't date and it 'never works out'? Also, other reality shows have a better record of people getting married vs a show specifically made for a lead to find their 'soul mate'.

After reading it again, I agree with instinct, it doesn't make sense. It seems like there is a piece missing either in what he said or what he was asked. That's the media, you never know when you are getting the right story.

Yeah, I think he was trying to say that like in life, sometimes dating works out and sometimes it doesn't, and it has nothing to do with meeting on the show. Even if he was having doubts about him and Ashley, which seems totally, totally unlikely to me, there's no way he'd announce it to Wetpaint. LOL.
