Alanna, that's what I thought too...Peter may have been speaking from the standpoint of someone his age that was planning on using the website for "our kids and grandkids". I think he was speaking in general not in specifics.

I think I know what happened. I learned that a press release was issued on February 21st in connection with the launch of MagMyKidz.com. This must have been what the Examiner's reporter and other media people saw. It contained the following paragraph:

Peter Rosenbaum, inventor and operator of the MagMyPic network of sites had this to say about the launch of MagMyKidz.com, “As parents and grandparents my wife and I always enjoyed capturing memories and making our children and now grandchildren feel good about their accomplishments. With that thought in mind I asked our development team to make a version of MagMyPic.com specifically focused on kids. We’ve created a very simple tool where even novice internet users can create unique and fun faux magazine covers of the special children in their lives; without costing a penny.”

So, what the Examiner reported was accurate. However, since the Rosenbaums do not now and have not ever had any grandchildren, I suspect that there was some tinkering with or miscommunication regarding Rosenbaums words in the preparation of the press release, e.g., what started as "As parents and future grandparents..." might have ended up as "As parents and grandparents..." and gotten embellished from there. We followers of Bach doings in the tabs know that this sort of thing is as much the rule as the exception.

That's my theory anyway.

BTW, the website is a lot of fun. It will appeal to parents and grandparents.

Hey all - I'm Stacy, the author of that last one. Hi!

I've always meant to be participating in here, I try to read as much as I can 'cause y'all are rock star awesome, but I always feel like I'm scrambling to keep my head above water (single mom to a VERY busy 4-year-old who is just in PT preschool). I've tweeted w/ some of you as well, but my Twitter activity is sporadic at best.

Lance TOTALLY nailed it above. I did take the info directly from the press release I received, and I was a little perplexed about the grandkid part as well but figured exactly what you all were thinking. I thought perhaps Roy has had a child previously, or Andrea does, or they feel as if they are grandparents already to children they know. We saw so clearly during the hometown date how Peter and Ilene are kind and loving, and I felt that though I hadn't heard reference of a grandchild before, it could be that they had previously wanted to keep him/her out of the spotlight.

However, I've also clarified now that Peter and Ilene are NOT yet grandparents - but I would imagine they are anxious for the opportunity! Seriously, can you imagine how dang cute they will be? I have edited my article just now to take out the grandparent reference - I do believe it was a bit of PR writer license that was taken, which the general layperson (i.e. NON "Team Cupcake" fans) would not have picked up on as seeming incorrect.

Sorry for the confusion! As many of you know when it comes to all things Team Cupcake, I try very hard to be accurate and supportive.

Thanks again for all the hard work you all do around here - I have really loved the additional info I've been able to use in my work on The Bachelor and I can't wait until Bachelorette stuff ramps up again too!
