Loved Ashley's interview with Ryan Seacrest. That purse party sounds like it's going to be awesome. Wish I lived in California.

Also, thanks Ashley for basically confirming that the wedding will be televised. Can't wait! :missclap:

Oh yeah baby. This wedding is SO going to be on TV. I used to think I didn't want them to go the televised route, just because I didn't want them being forced into having it in California and I don't trust ABC not to muck it up (ahem, strippers at the bachelor party and refusing to move the ceremony indoors in the pouring rain). But now I'm hoping they've negotiated a sweet deal for themselves and they get a kick-ass New York wedding for free, plus a substantial cash payout, plus an awesome DVD to show their kids someday. :yes:

(And I may have to revise my earlier prediction of a May 26th wedding date. Will ABC want to air it during May sweeps? So maybe a May 5th wedding instead. :Grin: )

The interview starts with Ryan mentioning that Ashley will be hosting the purse party on March 5th in Santa Monica. Then he and his sidekick Ellen make fun of Kacie a little bit for her meltdown last night, and suggest that Ben dodged a bullet because she's a little cray cray. Ashley stands up for her by saying how much she liked Kacie and how she felt bad for her, because when you're rejected on television that way, you feel like you're not good enough and that's difficult. She says "We've all had those crazy moments a little bit." She also says she felt like we finally saw the real Courtney last night and she started to like her a little bit. Ryan asks her if Courtney might be a plant, but Ashley says she has no knowledge of that happening before and jokingly asks whether Bentley was a plant.

They move on to talk of the purse party, which is Monday, March 5th. Ashley will be hosting along with Ellen, and Kiptyn, Juan, Ryan P., and JP will be modeling in a fashion show. Michael Stagliano will be performing as well. And after it's over, everyone's going to watch the WTA episode together.

Ryan then jokes that he and JP follow each other on Twitter, and "JP wants me to ask you when are you guys getting married?" Ashley laughs and says "JP wanted you to ask me?" She then replies in a sing-songy voice, "You'll have wait, you'll have to wait. There might be some news pretty soon. You'll have to keep your ears open." When Ryan asks her might the wedding be televised, she says (again in a sing-songy voice), "Perhaps. Perhaps." Ryan says he's all into those televised weddings, so Ashley teases him about whether he's trying to get an invite. Then she tells him that if it's televised, he has to promise to be there, and he says he'll try.

End of interview.

The purse party is on March 5th, and ATFR tapes on March 4th, which is "pretty soon." Hmmmm. Smiley

That has got to be it......they'll announce the wedding on ATFR!

Somehow I have a feeling there is going to be so much other stuff going on during the AFTR, there may not be time for that. Sounds like Ben and Courtney may have a lot to talk about. Plus Emily will probably be there to talk about be the new Bachelorette and then I read somewhere that Ali mentioned she was going to be on the AFTR. It does not sound like there will be time for anything else,imo.
