In photos, JP always looks like he's having such a good time, and is so grateful to be able to enjoy the little perqs being on the show has afforded him. Unlike some of the others in Bachelor Nation, who "pose" as if they are trying to convince everyone of their "celeb" status.

Not sure where to post these thoughts, because we're not really discussing it anymore, but it occurred to me what the solution to the mystery of "when Ash first told JP she loved him" might be, and why that question on R&K resulted in the somewhat strange answer from Jash that it did. We know now that Ash wrote JP a letter every day from the third week on, which she then must have given him to read after the show was done filming. Maybe she wrote in one of those letters (sometime after HK, but before LCD) that she had fallen in love with him, so once he read it, he realized that she had actually said "I love you" first? And when the question was asked by Regis, JP's first reaction was that on the show, he said it first, but then Ashley "reminded him" to think about it and he realized that she was referring to her letters?

Crazy and pointless thoughts by now, but just wondering what y'all think? (Guess I'm bored waiting for any real news about weddings )

But then I remembered what they said about it in the call, and JP mentioned something about it not being as blatant as his "I'm madly in love with you." He said it was much more subtle than that, but it put his head in the right place. So it must have been something that she actually said to him during filming. But when? Where? What did she say? I hate that we'll probably never know. Darn them for keeping private things private!

One of these days I'll watch their full season, probably as a prelude to their wedding as it draws closer. Forget about Jash for a picosecond, I honestly can't recall a single instance when/where/to whom Ashley says "purrfact" and it's kinda bugging me.

Would love to hear your theory! I think the general consensus is that it must have happened sometime around Taiwan. Originally we thought it may have been Hong Kong, because he came away from that date SO convinced that he was the one. But then in Taiwan he was having a really hard time with the process, and you'd think that he wouldn't have been too concerned about the other guys if she'd already told him she loved him a few days prior. So, after Taiwan but before the hometown date? He seemed to be feeling much better and more confident at the HTD. What are your thoughts on the subject?

I agree with you, Eagle Eye. JP was wigging out a little in Taiwan, but by HTD, he was so mellow. To me, that falls in line with Ashley's statement about wanting to help him get through a hard time and JP's statement that it put his head in the right place.

Two times I can think of off the top of my head are when she and JP's family were sitting on the couch near the end of his HTD and his mother talked about what a great day it had been. Ashley agrees and says "It was purfact." And in one of her ITMs during the Fantasy Date, she talks about how beautiful the sea plane ride was and that "having JP right next to me made it purfact." I'm sure there are several more, but those are the first two I thought of.
