What made me laugh is that when they went to the Shape 30th Anniversary party last October(?), Ashley suggested eloping, and JP was the one who mentioned how upset his mom would be, LOL.

There was some discussion about that quote a couple of weeks ago in Ben's thread, IIRC. I get what Ben was trying to say, even if it was an indelicate way to say it.

And I don't think JP would be upset by it, TBH. I imagine he feels things worked out the way they were supposed to, for everyone involved.

Actually you're right, it's probably one and the same....but I was surprised to read that it was in the first person and that someone hadn't put words in his mouth. But there is no reason to rehash it if it's old news.

If it was the TV Guide interview that I posted from yesterday I believe it was a new interview with Ben. Not sure if it was an old answer though.

I think it's the one I posted in his thread and in the Media thread. It's a magazine scan from the January 16, 2012 issue.

I went back and checked Ben's thread, and the first time he made those comments, they were in US Weekly, so I guess the comments to TV Guide were from a different interview. I still don't think JP would care much, though, and I don't think Ashley would either. It reminds me a little bit of her comment on E! News that watching Ben this season, she `knows she wouldn't have been able to take that next step with him. On paper, both their comments may seem a little harsh, but weren't intended as such, IMO.

Not a new picture but the new People mag (Heidi Klum cover) has a Valentine's Day gift feature and there's 2 pages of Ashley and JP showcasing a variety of good holiday gifts. There's a picture of them from their original People shoot, cute on the 1st page and the rest is pictures of gifts and comments from Ashley or JP about each one. The gift suggestions are everything from a vintage Scrabble set (cute!) to lingerie to some really comfy looking Australian Ugg slippers.
