As Ashley and JP said there's a nice 2 page spread in US Weekly on their new apartment. Very cute 1 page picture of Ashley in JP's lap, and another full page of pics of their apartment. The focus of the article is totally the interior design of their new place together.

Ashley said they each got rid of a lot of their individual stuff because they wanted stuff that was theirs. They also knew space would be at a premium in New York City. JP insisted on a comfy couch. The apartment is very elegant minimalist, lots of black & white, clean lines. Courtney Cachet is mentioned in the article as the interior designer they brought in to decorate their new place. It's an 800 square foot apartment up high in a building that I'm not naming (though US Weekly does name it).

One cute detail: the article says they have the fantasy suite invitation card framed on the wall of their apartment. Maybe it was the fantasy suite key. I didn't have time to really look at the details but I did see a framed "There's no place like home" that looked like it could be a date card. Could that have been their 1st date card?

Based on the article I'd guess the reason for it is to showcase the work of the interior designer and I'd guess she gave Ashley & JP a discount on her interior design services in exchange for the advertising she's getting in US Weekly. Very cute stuff, definitely worth checking out because my words can't do the pictures justice Smiley

I love that! Thanks for the recap, cfck2222! Can't wait to see the pictures. The minimalist look matches a lot of the pictures and ideas Ashley had on her Pinterest page, a while back.

Sounds like a nice piece. Had my hopes up for a wedding date announcement though, oh well guess that's what I get for hoping with this franchise.

And I hate to say it, but I'm glad their designer wasn't Jillian, she designs beautifully but I don't think she has the best luck decorating the franchise's love nests. :hidingchair

I can't imagine that they ever would have announced their wedding date (which I'm certain has already been chosen) in US Weekly. I think it's much more likely to be in a sit-down interview with Chris either in the later half of Ben's season, or during Emily's season (I can make arguments for either one).

Archer, I am curious what makes so certain that a wedding date has been chosen. I keep hearing there are signs of a chosen wedding date, etc. but have not seen any myself.

Thanks for that recap cfck2222, I posted a pic in the twitter thread, and JP and Ashley were chosen & won that free Celebrity Makeover by HayNeedle who furnished all their stuff, link to it is in the tweets too, gorgeous stuff. good for JP and Ashley. They deserve all they are getting, and would be just plain stupid to refuse any of it, or any interviews they care to do, imo.

I'm actually lmao, all the big back and forth that this US Weekly was going to be, or not going to be, a wedding date, and now we see it's about their apt. makeover. In hindsight, maybe we should not assume, til we see it? :giggle:

I ordered a bunch of chill pills, :Grin: relax, they are getting married in 2012. I know we all cannot wait to hear the date, it's coming, have fun, enjoy their love, & what they care to share right now. It's all good!!!!!! :Nod:

Don't worry about it. Most of them don't make it and they prob won't either. If they do, it will be tweeted and tabloided about 24/7. So, just wait and see.
