Bachelor 26 - Potential Lead - Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I don’t think Andrew will be the bachelor. He’s just getting hype this week because he just exited and had a good exit. I bet next week everyone will be begging for Michael A to be bachelor, probably even harder.

I could see them wanting Michael A since he's getting a good edit as of right now. He came across really well on the BHH podcast although I was taken aback that he started dating 5 months after the death of his wife.

Omg I really could not watch a Bennett season. UO perhaps but he’s so condescending (in a bad way) to me. Now he may be fine IRL but as a lead of the show I can’t imagine myself rooting for him

 Connor kissing an audience member at ATFR spoiled his outcome on BIP. That inability to foresee how things connect doesn’t speak well to what a lead is required to do so I think questionable.

I really hope that Greg is not under consideration. I felt neutral about him *at best* even before last night's hometown episode. But after last night I feel that he is not ready for a serious relationship, much less marriage. Even more than that, I saw some behaviors in him that I think are concerning, including a level of meanness and contempt towards Katie when she wasn't able to respond as he saw fit. I also didn't like that he kept picking apart her perfectly valid responses as their argument moved forward. I realize that he was hurting, but his behavior came off as petty and controlling.

I really, really, really don't want to see him as the Bachelor. I could perhaps tolerate him in Paradise next summer. But I think he is highly unsuited to be the lead.

The lead uses roses as an indication as to who they want to keep. According to Greg, roses mean nothing.

I'm still liking Michael A as the next lead but just concerned about his son. Jason JPG and Emily both had children so if he is TB I hope the child and maybe a family member can be on location for part of filming. Michael is following a whole bunch of BN people.

I've really come around to Michael A. as a potential lead. He's mature, intelligent, well-spoken, and successful. I also think that his quirky sense of humor makes him interesting to watch. Plus, as a bonus, production would have to skew the ages of the cast members somewhat older, which is always a good thing. I agree with you that his child would likely need to come to filming. I think that production is hitting the road again, though, right? But perhaps they could find a way to accommodate Michael, as they did for Chris Soules when he had travel issues (I seem to remember that Chris couldn't go outside of the U.S. or U.S. territories.)

With regard to Greg, I really think that production had it up to their ears with Clare, and are not on the mood to deal with a potentially volatile and unpredictable lead again any time soon.

My first choice would be JP Rosenbaum who is separated from Ashley since last October but they keep it friendly between them. I follow him on IG. He's such a great dad, I think he deserves a second shot at love (maybe he's with someone I don't know). JP is probably not popular enough, he went back to his regular job and doesn't do promo and stuff on IG... Oh well...The Bachelor lead is rarely someone I would of wanted anyway :-)
