Oh good, we have a premiere date!

That's not to far off from the last season which premired Aug 5th and 6th. Therefore I would think filming will still be in June. Typically the first week in June but perhaps that will be delayed by a week or so.

If things remain the same regarding entry into Mexico then contestants can arrive shortly before filming begins.

Kaitlyn has said that when they went to visit her family there they took a rapid test with results in 15 minutes.

Wells confirmed, on a podcast, that he is going to BIP. He didn’t specifically state his role.
Kelley F gave a definite “no” on her YouTube.
I know rag mags have said Dr. Joe is going but he’s been asked directly many times if he would go  in interviews or podcasts and his responses have been vague. IMO he is a maybe.

On the AF podcast, which 1 of them said was being recorded on Monday, Ashley or Ben mentioned that BIP quarantine had begun.

This article doesn't have much news but does mention at least one person who's filling in for CH.
Bachelor in Paradise: Chris Harrison Out as Season 7 Host — Who's Filling In?

We just made a quick trip to Cancun and just stayed at the resort. They didn't request tests coming into the country but the resort included a Covid test 3 days before going back to the U.S. Hopefully, they're all vaccinated by now. I will say that the workers weren't vaccinated and only a tiny amount of people were vaccinated in Quintana Roo (the state that Cancun is in). I imagine the show will require them all to be tested. They all wore masks, of course.

Wow, David Spade is an out the blue host pick. I’ve watched some of his Bachelor recaps. If true, it’s going to be fascinating to see how he uses the role.

@GuardianAngel David Spade has been in quite a few movies and has a long-time career as a comedian. He can be snarky and sarcastic in my opinion. Hopefully, he will bring some entertainment without being too hard on the contestants.

His first stand up live tour is June 18th in Phoenix. Does that gives him enough time to host BIP?

@notarose That gives him some time before and after his tour date. It doesn't sound like he's going to be hosting the whole time. I am a little surprised that they aren't having Wells host, but maybe he can be a backup one.

Variety also has an article that says that Bachelor in Paradise will be hosted by a rotation of celebrity comedians and so far David Spade is the only one who has signed on for sure so far. BIP will not be hosted by Bachelor Franchise alum. If someone wants to link the article, that would be great.
