Funny how they put their clumsy frankenbiting on full display (0:50).
Strong play, Irena! Particularly at 1:28. “Please use this medical equipment to touch my boob.”

Just watched ep 1 AKA the first installment of the Bella for Bachelorette Marketing Campaign. Not looking forward to a whole season of this.  And how dumb that that they pretended not to know eachother!



Other than that I find Locky to be a natural in front of the camera which is good - nothing more cringeworthy than a wooden / nervous / self conscious Lead IMO (looking at you, Richie and Matty J  ).  



Obvious attraction with Irena even though I agree @Dirty Street Pie there are a LOT of hot women this season (Leilani, Marlaina, Clare, all stunners IMO).  I like Rosemary more than I expected to, and Roxi a lot less.  



Is Zoe for real?!  Someone please tell her that red hair is not a racial group and it's poor form to accuse a black woman of discriminating against you, even if said black woman happens to be a b*tch.  What a nutcase.  



I don't know what happened during the Triple Threat Rose scene, but the continuity was a mess and it was a completely different rose between shots.  Come on continuity department, lift your game!





In the preview for tonight the girls are wearing the same outfits they were in the pap photos where they are all outside looking pissed off so I guess now we know why - Kaitlyn's arrival.  Get a grip girls geez no one died.

Couldn't agree more Bobette, I feel quite outnumbered in not thinking Bella is anything more than clearly auditioning for Bachelorette (and tptb seem to be encouraging that narrative too, ie the narrative that she's Australia's sweetheart etc)

It's already working. Some viewers think she is wifey material, nice girl.

@leavers @Enough It was planned even before they shot the first frame IMO and I completely believe she was guaranteed final 2 (not only by Locky but also by TPTB themselves IMO).  

Dare I say, she's this season's Carlin IMO and would have fulfilled the same function (a default F1 if he wasn't feeling it with any of the other contestants or relationships fell apart before the FRC).

This business of him being in love with both Irena and Bella is complete BS IMO and only designed to make Bella look more desirable to the male audience, and attract 2021 applicants.

I am not sure Bella is that stunning looking that guys will be queuing up to apply

Admittedly this info comes from Woman's Day via DM, but we've seen similar shenannigans in the past with other Leads (eg Matty/Laura) and it fits with what I'm seeing of Bella, and how she's being presented on the show and in official media, IMO.

The Bachelor hasn't even premiered yet, but it's already at the centre of a scandal.

On Monday, reports surfaced that Locky Gilbert had secretly guaranteed one of his contestants, Bella Varelis, a place in the final two before filming began.

According to Woman's Day, the 30-year-old got in touch with Bella, 25, via mutual friends earlier this year and they made a 'deal'.

'They have mutual friends and spoke before the show. There was chatter he promised her she'd be top two,' a source claimed.

They also alleged that Bella was a 'producer's pet' who played up her emotions and delivered for the cameras.
