Tense win in OT but my gosh, I'm dying over here!

My son is in Montreal right now. Doubt he'll get tickets (cheapest pair $1800)! but he's enjoying the city which is full of happy Hab's fans. He lives in Leaf's territory so he's happy to wear his Habs caps which he hardly does when he's home.

I was surprised that it wasn't full capacity but CAN restrictions must be different then over here.

We had fireworks yesterday at Quebec City

So now, Dominique Ducharme (head coach of the Habs) has Covid and has to isolate for 14 days!!! what a freakin bummer! and we just heard that the general director of Vegas has it as well.  the DG of Vegas was caught without his mask in the Vegas box and reprimand for it.  Over here, the mask in public spaces is mandatory. I was just so stunned to see the amount of people in the Vegas arena, like Covid does not exist anymore .... We are still months from that over here!

If we look at the news... it seems that nobody is wearing maks anymore. they are at a little 50% vaccinated in the USA, and Canada less than 19%. borders are still closed up to July 21. I am pissed off that Americans didn't respect us on our grounds.

@HEA I live about 15 minutes from Montreal but have family near Quebec. You speak french? I am guessing you are an Habs fan even though I know a lot of people in Quebec wishes they had their own hockey team like the Nordiques before! That was a long time ago!

you got it right about our own team in Quebec city... we are still not recovering that big NHL boss didn't accept our bid

I miss the Nordiques. To this day when I watch Colorado I think of the Nordiques.

They've been the underdogs since the first round. So I'm ok with that.

So happy the Habs won!  People are in a good mood over here.  Hockey is so big!  Now to get that win next Thursday the 24th, which is Quebec National Day!  It would be phenomenal!!!!!
