I can't say that I'm surprised. Is anyone surprised? I have to wonder how Cassie is feeling about the announcement. I trust that her friends and family will be there for her.

Am not surprised at Colton's news. But just as I would tell Rachael that restitution for her past acts means she needs to really walk the talk (encourage frats & sororities to axe the plantation parties to start), Colton needs to do the same. I would advise him to contact every contestant that was on his season and apologize for leading them on. (that is if they would communicate with them). As for Cassie, she and her family deserve a very sincere apology for dragging them through so much. And throw in a sincere thank you for providing COVID care. And then Colton just needs to shut up and go away and figure out how to live a life out of the spotlight. He can be anything he wants but kindness and respect look good on everyone - gay, straight or bi.

@Norcalgal Colton live a life out of the spotlight? That won't be happening any time soon.  He lives for the spotlight, hence the big announcement and the new reality show. I always found him a media whore and now he just reinforced my long standing opinion of him.

While I'm happy Colton can finally admit it to himself and those closest to him it does not excuse any bad behaviors and the way he treated people in his efforts to hide his sexuality or better understand it himself. His announcement is not a blanket pardon for hurtful, harassing, and manipulative behaviors. Rewarding him with his own show boggles my mind.

It seems so fake and strange. I am someone, who actually kinda liked him, and it is 2021, it is ok to be gay, my best friend is, but.... how it works? Did he call to GMA and Netklif? I guess he will get good money from it.
It is ok to live your best life, why it should be so public?
