General Discussion on season 25.

I don't know where to post this. There are people on Reddit discussing Matt and Tyler hosting a party yesterday that was bigger than many there thought they should have and not practicing good social distance.

I'm noticing that kind of behavior among a number of young adults (20s through early 30s.) They are going out to bars and restaurants and packing pools and beaches. No masks and no social distancing. They must think they are immortal.

Honestly, if I were an executive producer, I would be sure to let Matt know that there is a plan B for if he tests positive. It might make him think a little bit more.

Between the lack of social distancing/continuing to party after getting the Bachelor gig even though he's going on The Bachelor as... you know ... the Bachelor, a dude who is MEANT to be looking for his WIFE, and the ~Quarantine Crew~ trying to register as an LLC, the shine has gone off Matt James for me. I hate that Clare was right about him, because I'm no fan of Clare, but I think she was.

100% pure clout chasing from both Matt James and Tyler C.

Matt & Tyler have become very unlikeable to me the more quarantine’s gone on. They’re both pushing 30 acting like frat boys and then when you add in their blatant disregard for public health? It’s just pretty gross to me. Jmo.

I had hoped that Matt's contract meant be sequestered in LA or someplace where he couldn't be exposed to COVID. Stupid on Matt's part if this is true and i can't believe that the producers would risk their star being unable to film.

Sorry, no surprise to me at all. I thought that months ago when Hannah was in Florida, it seems they are worse now. Have they not read this isn't just an elderly disease? I know it's always said no lead goes on for the right reason, but to me Matt has always definitely fit in that category.

@Amethyst good point on Plan B. There are a few on Clare's season that I would have preferred based on first impressions alone.

I'm sorry, but I think you are all overreacting. Someone with COVID wouldn't be at a pool party to begin with. Why would you wear a mask in a pool or inside a house? To me the house looks big enough to not be crowded.
Outside there's not much chance of being infected. Only crowded places without proper ventilation are a real risk.
In my country we only have to wear masks in public transfer, nowhere else.
We can have parties again and funerals, all without kissing and giving hands.

I don't see why all of a sudden Matt and Tyler are being crucified.

Because our numbers are going out of control, especially in Florida where they live. They have over 350,000 active cases, almost 5,000 deaths and about 10,000 additional new cases per day.

You could have no symptoms but still be contagious: you could be asymptotic or pre-symptomatic.
I have read multiple stories of people who attended parties and later became sick, or even died.

There are also multiple stories of people actually throwing Covid parties with people who are sick and taking bets on who will be the first person to catch it. People are stupid. Never underestimate stupidity.

I am surprised tptb haven't told him to watch himself and be careful about how he presents himself since he has to wait a while before he films his season. I bet they have after this whole brouhaha!

Exactly. There was a girl in Atlanta who went to one of the pool parties, got COVID-19, was asymptomatic but infected her whole family and her grandfather’s currently on a ventilator. And I’ve seen so many stories like that.
