Rob Mills, SVP, Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming, ABC Entertainment, told Deadline that The Bachelor will start production at the end of September with a view to airing in January as per previous years.

Mills said he was buoyed by the fact that The Bachelorette, which wrapped on September 1, was able to finish production without any COVID-19 related incidents.

And oh yeah by the way, the women who are on Matt James’ season leave for filming today and tmrw. I’m hearing first day of filming is set for Oct 10th. As I reported, filming will take place at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania.

As Matt James’ women leave for “Bachelor” yesterday and today, I can see in the last 24 hrs 3 of them have turned their IGs private and one has deactivated. I will release those I have next week.

"Different location, we're not gonna be in Palm Springs," Harrison said of the Bachelor set, which is reportedly Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania. "This is a little more expansive. I can tell you there's gonna be a lot more offered to us as far as being outdoors. It's not gonna be 155 degrees, which helps. Shooting on the surface of the sun was difficult this summer. So, this place is gonna give us a lot more outdoors, a lot more activities."
