Re: Acts of Kindness - Discussion
I just popped in here to re-read all the wonderful stories. 2020 has been such a "long, strange trip" and these next few days (weeks!) in the US will be stranger most likely. Thanks to all of you for the uplifting stories, the funnies, the community. Take care and much love.

@pavalygurl
I just saw this a few minutes ago and thought what a great idea. How thoughtful! I'm not posting the source because there is an address and directions.
Spooky House
Ok we are all set for tonight.
Last finishing touches are being done today. I am still upset that we cant do the haunted garage but their is still a ton to look at!
Also I did 160 bags of candy with 13 candies in each!
All was sanitized and gloves worn and ready to go!

xxxxx Look out for the big cat!!! Can't miss her!
Look forward to seeing all your costumes!

I'm at work for the trick or treat and there hasn't been anyone. Usually we have a fairly good turn out. The people I support are a little disappointed because they enjoy seeing all the costumes, but we made it up to them with all the extra candy!
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

Re: Acts of Kindness - Discussion
I have had probably around 20 kids, normally 100 for the neighbourhood. All of them were wearing a mask. I think it's dying down now at 8pm.
@Sprite that's too bad. It really is cute to see the kids dressed up. So far they have all been fairly young which is so cute.

@Norcalgal tears here too.
Reminded me of this. Sadly his wife passed away a few days later. Go to the link to listen to his music.
81-year-old Italian man couldn't visit his wife in hospital, so he serenaded her from the street

My Dad was a member of the same Alpini Mountain Infantry. My mother still has his hat with the feather, wrapped in plastic of course because that's what Italians do.

According to the Italian news agency ANSA, Bozzini is a retired member of the Italian army's Alpini mountain infantry, and the hat is part of the uniform.

@Norcalgal you're so right.
One of the most challenging times in my life a few years back made me realize you don't know how strong you are until you need to be.

@GuardianAngel This is so true. Makes us appreciate when seas are smooth, once we've experience the rough ride. I'm glad you came through that time in your life!
