I agree that Peter isn’t ready for marriage at all. He does seem like a generally nice guy, he’s honest and in touch with his emotions, but I don’t see him being ready to commit to one woman for life. Personally, I don’t really see any of the contestants as being vulnerable or given false hopes—I see this a bit of a competition  especially in the current wannabe social media influencer climate. The vast majority of these relationships don’t last despite a few marriages and I don’t believe most of the contestants expect them too. It’s entertainment so I don’t take this show seriously and for myself I can’t get on board with wishing retribution on others—that is far above my pay grade. Personally, I take love, marriage and sex very seriously and that’s why I would have never gone on this show. jmo

To the bold,
IMO they are put in a very vulnerable position by the premise of the show, i.e. to give it their all while being manipulated by producers and given information that distort reality about the lead’s intentions and their place in his affections. They are isolated, manipulated and in a bubble of illusion with their feelings and thoughts. The lead purposely gives them all false hope that hey ‘ might’ be the ONE for him, in order to keep the show and the suspense going.
It’s easy for us, outsiders to the inner daily workings that go on there, but I believe that THEY are in a state where they BELIEVE all this stuff and that involves real feelings nonetheless and despite their possible ulterior motives and intentions for being on the show, IMO the last F4 ones are caught in a web of strong hopes and feelings that ‘they ‘ will be coming out on top, because they buy into the signs that the lead is providing each of them to reassure them of his true intentions. Even if it is mostly pride that is hurt in the process, these woman are opening their hearts to their producers, trusting them as ‘ friends’ and we all know how long it takes to dissipate those false expectations. Just ask Hannah B...
And about the Italized: for the record. I am NOT wishing ANYONE any retribution or bad consequences out of their portrayal on this tv show. But, they will have to deal with whatever they did in the public eye, which is often distorted and cruel, but they took that risk when they gladly signed up for it.

@Astrobach It’s all good. We just see things differently and can agree to disagree.

You make a good point here. We know that Madi tells Peter she is a virgin before FDs but if she hasn’t told him she’s falling in love with him before FDs, nor any indication she will leave if he sleeps with the other women, I also think it’s fair for Peter to continue progressing the other relationships including sleeping with them. If he has expressed his feelings of love to her and she hasn’t reciprocated yet then he doesn’t know at this point how serious she is about him. And let’s face it this is Peter we’re talking about.

I definitely think it’s better if the lead only sleeps with the F1 but a lot of leads do sleep with more than one and the contestants do have to accept that going on this show as difficult as that may be. Ultimately, I think these things are best discussed and agreed on beforehand but I don’t know how likely that is on the show. JMO

But Peter has said that he new who his F1 was going to be from week 4? So if he intended Madi to be F1 all along then he has disrespected her and the other girls as well. jmo

If Madison hasen't told him that she's falling in love with him before the FS date , even if she is HIS intended F1 if he isn't HERS and she can't express words of love to him then I don't blame him for exploring further . jmo Guess we'll see soon enough how it all went down .

It's not unusual for this show. For example, Rachel knew that Bryan was her F1 by HTD yet admitted she slept with Peter. Ben H. said ILY to Lauren & JoJo yet it was clear by Caila's reaction to being let go that something happened on her FSD. I couldn't handle it, but it's par for the course on this show that the real relationship starts after the final rose.

Yeah true. But I guess the difference must be that Peter knew Madison’s dealbreaker and yet still went ahead and slept with Someone...where as the other F1s didn’t give the lead that “ultimatum “ jmo

Does anyone know what the bachelor ratings were for the wednesday episode they did? was it the same as a monday night episode or i assume lower?

Mary's basketball team made it to the semi-finals that are on Friday, Feb 14th. I wonder if Madi will be at the game?

I read somewhere that Peter is supposedly back to work on Valentine's Day.

No. The Wednesday episode was down. It was this past Monday's episode that went up.
