And re: the tabloids, I haven't seen a single positive story about Angie and Carlin today - all the mags and websites are talking about arguments and issues and breakups. Yes they may sensationalise things to get sales/clicks, but some do have legit insiders IMO.

How else did New Idea get half the cast list - with names and photos - weeks before anything was officially released?

The paparazzi, it isn't really difficult to do that, as soon as the show starts they are everywhere. I remember Sophie Monk saying that she had no idea how the paparazzi knew when she was going to be in a particular place and she always looked terrible so sometimes she just let them know because at least she could try to look better.

Oh, and this year the magazines haven't been able to discover some things about three contestants that I actually know. For instance, they don't know where Carlin really comes from, and they still consider Timm a Melbourne boy when both are from North Queensland. No one noticed either that Osher and Glenn seem to have been friends for a while. Osher liked so many of Glenn's posts before even the show started filming!

@Genevieve Australia New Idea had the cast list in August, and you can't get names and home states from hiding in a bush with a long lens, so they didn't get those details from the paparazzos - the info came from someone with direct links to the show IMO.

It is possible, indeed, but correlation doesn't equal causation; just because New Idea had some correct information it doesn't mean they are not creating or distorting other information. I am not going to adopt a strong position about this because I do not have sufficient information to fully dismiss those reports or to fully accept them, so I will have to wait and see, and who knows in the end you may end up telling me ' I told you so' ;) Hugesmile

but I hope that is not the case. I like Carlin and I think Angie seems nicer than what I thought she was (except for that comment about the three legged dog, a comment I found of very poor taste), but whether they last or not is not something that bothers me that much, really. I just don't like to be fooled by the mass media Smiley

Now, did you read what I mentioned about Glenn....I wonder if he was there because of Osher and that is why Sportsbet had him as a 'contender'

The TV couple face life in the real world - is it over already?

Is there trouble in paradise already for Bachelorette Angie Kent and her chosen love, Carlin Sterritt?

Far from still being in the honeymoon stage, the duo appeared tense as they were spotted together in a Melbourne shopping centre.

The incident comes as it was revealed that Angie has been sending emotional messages to former contestants Timm Hanly AND Ciarran Stott.

And close friends of the 29-year-old ex-Goggleboxer fear she is having second thoughts after choosing winner Carlin Sterrit.

They believe she feels 'awkward and uncomfortable' showcasing a romance that might not be real.

These revelations come amid shock rumours backstage crew on The Bachelorette wished she had chosen Timm over Carlin.

Angie has made no secret of the fact she and Timm have chatted since the show ended even though she’s breaking her contract with Channel Ten.

She announced on The Project, 'Timm is one of those people, I am one of those people, when I make a connection with somebody, I don't care about contracts,' she said.

But it’s unlikely show bosses or Carlin know that friends believe she is exchanging Instagram messages with Ciarran, who was forced to quit The Bachelorette suddenly after his grandmother died.

‘Ciarran and Angie weren’t in touch at all during the run of the show,’ said one friend. ‘But there have now been emotional messages. They definitely still have a strong connection.’

‘They had such a bond, no-one is surprised," added the friend. "Her friends all think Ciarran could have won and says she looks awkward and uncomfortable whenever she’s with him because she has doubts.

Angie this week revealed that she and her chosen man will not be moving in together – adding to speculation that she isn’t convinced they can last as a couple.

‘I will be looking at moving back to Sydney at the beginning of next year,’ the Bachelorette told Vogue Australia.

‘That's kind of what we've had a chat about. Not together, we don't want to live together yet.’

The 29-year-old added how they wanted to focus on dating in the real world first.

But judging by these photos, their TV romance is now very much stuck in the real world.

Dunno if it's just me but I find it odd that you would move states for someone but not want to live with them? Moving for someone is pretty serious and if you don't think you're serious enough about them to live with them then I wonder why you would change and move your life interstate for them. JMO.

I don’t think Angie is moving FOR Carlin, she had planned to move BACK there as she did live there before. It would also be obviously more convenient for them to be closer. But, as I pointed out earlier, what is the logic in starting a brand new relationship by living together??? That’s a recipe for disaster in most cases IMO. So again, let’s see how they are living their lives before jumping the gun on them based on some trashy magazines and their skewed interpretation of a relationship.

She's just saying that so when they split she can say they were planning a future together, it just didn't work out how they hoped and yak yak yak, IMO. It's all for the optics IMO.

UA, and none of the other bach/ettes have lived together straight away. IMO, there are so many loopholes in these articles. No-one knows if they will last 1 week, 1 month, 1 year or forever, including Angie snd Carlin. I’d like to read more positive stuff from the media to be honest.

Good point. I think the rumours will dissipate in the following weeks. I hope Angie and Carlin keep the fans updated because after what happened to Chelsie and Matt people/fans are going to be over-analysing each thing Angie and Carlin do and even what they do not do.

@astrobach I agree, for some people moving together immediately works, not for others. I think it is better to wait and see how it goes, especially now that in Australia a settled de facto couple has basically the same rights of a married couple Smiley

I agree with @Astrobach - both Angie and Carlin’s social media, as well as that of Yvie and others shows how happy the two of them are as a couple. Trashy tabloids/ media outlets have an end goal, they don’t care if the info they present is factual or not.

Hey you found a nice avatar!
I can only go with what I see, read and intuitively recognize of what is presented to me and it’s supported by some extra Astro info, ( I know many don’t give a da#$ about that ) but I can already see massive differences in the possibilities of a real successful relationship between Carlin and Angie, compare to Matt and Chelsie. The latter didn’t stand a chance and I saw that a while ago, before the lack of S/M alerted everyone. I didn’t want to bring people down and sometimes things work in mysterious ways.
On the Carlin and Angie side, they have better communication, better compatibility in values and beliefs, drive, ambition and have a true respect and friendly rapport. Plus they have some strong long term binding element. Again, it’s up to them, but it looks good to me.
By the way, I’m not implying anything negative per se about Matt and Angie because it’s a question of the right mix or blend of energies not who is right or wrong. They are lacking some vital component, IMO and had serious challenges to overcome that are better done separately.
I enjoy the good fun and easy rapport that Angie and Carlin are showing and it’s not an acting job to me.

On moving to Sydney- Angie said she's lived in Sydney for 8 or 9 years and moved home to Queensland because she knew she had a bunch going on this year (like the jungle and then the Bachelorette) and didn't think it made sense to pay rent on a place in Sydney but the plan was never to stay in Queensland. So, she's moving for work/career prospects with the bonus of being closer to Carlin. He said he would never ask her to move just for him (and in fact he's moved twice for love so he's open to moving as well).

On unhappy photos, I saw one story about how they looked tense in the airport but in the same story they were smiling and laughing. I then saw video- there's literally cameras snapping away in their face while they are running late for their flight and they still seemed chill. I think bad news sells and in the end the only people who really know the status of their relationship are the 2 people in it.
