FINALLY.
Carlin just confirmed on IG that they have "gone their separate ways" and Angie posted a super quick one-frame announcement. Typically, neither posted anything permanent that can be replied to by followers - only stories that will be gone within 24 hours.
This relationship was just one long marketing/promotional opportunity IMO and it's no accident this announcement comes a few days after the expiry of their contracts - TPTB must think viewers are idiots who won't notice the "coincidental timing" of breakups every season.

Anyway I'm glad the jig is up. Carlin seemed more committed to the role IMO (probably because he had more to gain from a publicity point of view) but IMO Angie was never genuinely into him and I don't think she really wanted / was open to a relationship.
A note to future Leads and TPTB: I would much rather watch an honest Honey Badger ending than see a Lead pick an F1 just because they think it will sell more books and provide the "happy ending" some viewers expect. This ending wasn't happy for anyone IMO.

About time! I was wondering if they were just going to let it go on indefinitely, but making it obvious that they weren’t together.
Now that they’ve addressed it and it’s done, let’s never speak of this season again

Gladly.
When border restrictions ease and he gets "candidly" papped with Abbie we can just pick things up on her thread.

Finally, when are we betting they actually split?

Trick question IMO since to split you have to first be together and I didn't consider them a couple in the first place. But IMO they got sick of pretending during lockdown when they realised they no longer had any excuses to justify not spending time together.

@Bobette You called it so long ago. You should be a hired consultant to the show - except Channel 10 probably doesn't pay very well, if anything at all.

The great sleuthing right from the beginning proved to be correct, like clockwork!

@Bobette @DirtyStreetPie re Angie Did you all figure she was going to be this person? IMO, a flake? A self centered, self-entitled flake?
Perhaps she figured Carlin was more suited to go along with her ego boosting shilling show and someone she could manipulate because he was thirsty as well.

Carlin looks sad in the Daily Mail video where he announces their separate paths. While he is handsome and charming, he always had a fragility to him, IMO.

@Norcalgal Carlin has always come across as very sensitive and insecure to me. Some deeper issues needing to be addressed for him IMO especially if he plans on making a living in the public/social sphere from here on.
After yesterday saying she wasn't going to go into details, Angie is now saying (in a paywalled article) that their "values didn't align". Well duh no kidding I'm pretty sure that was pointed out here from the very beginning.
I'm not going to get into the religious aspect but the fact that Carlin has thrown himself even deeper into the church scene in recent weeks (his mate Brenton is BFFs with the pastor of their church) is no coincidence IMO.
@Idlemess Based off her time on Gogglebox I initially saw Angie as someone who was irreverent, unconventional and unique, and IMO that's who TPTB thought they were getting, hence the "Inappropriate Bachelorette" theme.
In retrospect IMO it was Yvie who made her look good. What a let down to discover Angie is actually just another vacuous fame-seeker IMO. Her shilling choices have been questionable at best, downright tone deaf in some cases.
I still think things would have panned out differently if she hadn't changed her mind about Timm, or if Ciarran had stayed. Ultimately she should have pulled a Honey Badger IMO, rather than chose someone purely for the optics.
