Yup, the whole show was in NSW this year!  So budget  ... I reckon even if Carlin's parents did want to participate (and no shade to any family that don't want to have a bar of this show imo) they would have flown them to Sydney rather than fly a whole crew up to Townsville.

Fresh from from fighting off rumours that Angie Kent’s appearance on The Bachelorette was for fame rather than love, the reality TV veteran and her Bachie boyfriend Carlin Sterritt appear to be in damage control mode.

Just days after Carlin hit back at claims Angie only appeared on the show to promote her new memoir If You Don't Laugh You'll Cry, the couple have been flaunting their romance on their current holiday in Vietnam.

And it seems to me their Vietnam "holiday" is just one long sponsored Luxury Escapes episode.  So many tags on their photos you can barely see their faces in some of them...  





Out of interest I looked back at the first pics Matty/Laura and Taite/Ali posted after their finale.  Lots of family pics, promotional appearances and couple shots of them together.

Meanwhile Angie and Carlin are posting temporary stories and marketing pics.  Angie has posted more pics of her book than of Carlin.  It all still seems very superficial and transient to me.

That's just a fan page though so IMO no indication of what's really going on - there were fan pages for Chelsie and Matt too, for example.

What's significant to me is that Angie and Carlin themselves are choosing not to save those stories on their pages - they all just disappear.

In Carlin's last post he even cut off Angie's head.  Still managed to fit in all those profit-making tags though...

just curious -where do the fan pages get the videos and pics from? Also in Angie’s last post she answered a question about it all being fake.

Bobette, just one observation: the stories only last 24 hours and most posters (I have an Instagram account that I use for photography, and I only follow photographers), do not save their stories otherwise it takes too much memory in our phones/ipads. Instagram does not let you upload photos or videos from your PC or laptop.

The videos come from the stories that Angie and Carlin posts Instagram stories only last for 24 hours. People don't save all the stories because stories are not meant to replace photos or videos but are more about capturing a particular moment. I mentioned to Bobette that Instagram doesn't let users upload photos or videos from their laptops or computers, this means that a person can only upload data to Instagram from a mobile device. Mobiles typically don't have much memories, especially if they are used also like cameras. If a person takes many photos and videos on top of that upload them to Instagram (edited or unedited) those photos/videos are occupying double the space. For example and Iphone with 64gb memory will be full relatively quickly if it has several applications, email, Itunes, etc. That is why it is not practical to save stories or post them as posts

I wouldn't expect them to admit it was fake - that would defeat the purpose.

The fan pages are probably using video capture software before the stories expire.  Wouldn't be necessary though if A & C saved their stories so it's the fact that they're choosing not to which I find suspicious/telling.  Less to delete later on maybe.

IMO they'll just continue doing what they're doing for as long as it suits their purposes then come up with some no-fault excuse to split and say they'll "always treasure the time they spent together and remain the best of friends" or similar waffle.

*edited*  there is a very simple explanation as to why stories are rarely saved by Instagram users: phone memory. It is not possible to upload data from a PC or Laptop to Instagram, it can only be done through mobile devices, which usually have numerous applications and Iphones have office. Emails, I-tunes and videos occupy a lot of space. I have had to change several Iphones because of that.

Angie saved loads IG stories when she was on IACGMOOH - she's got a whole section just for "challenges" - and yet none from Bette or post-show with Carlin. That speaks for itself, IMO.
