Bachelorette Australia - Season 6 - Elly and Becky Miles - Media SM - Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

TPTB are complete idiots if they didn't see that coming IMO.  Pretty sure we repeatedly made the point that Elly would be a terrible choice as Lead for that exact reason (not to mention Becky, who we didn't even know was an option).  Why do they never listen to us?  WHY?!



Read my lips TPTB:  Leads need to be HOT.  It's that simple IMO.  

Personality - sure.  Screen presence - highly desirable.  Intelligence - a nice bonus.  But mainly H O T.  Not necessarily classically good looking - uniquely sexy is even better - but they must be desirable to both viewers and contestants or the show just falls apart, IMO.

Not only that, but they would employ savage tactics to avoid spending one-on-one time with the girls according to an inside source.
"The boys just weren’t into them so much so they were actually trying to avoid spending one-on-one time with them.

"One boy dished that they were trying to stay on the show, but they avoided getting one-on-one dates so they didn’t have to kiss them. The guys were constantly complaining, saying, ‘Why did we get stuck with these chicks?’ Ouch!!

We will reportedly see one man reject Elly in an upcoming episode with Meghan being told Damien "wasn't into" her.

"Damien finally gets one-on-one time with Elly, producers set them up for a kiss. They set the scene for it, but he wasn’t into her. So when it came time for the kiss, he turned away and said ‘Nup, sorry not feeling it’ and he rejects Elly," she explained.

This is dreadful. It seems every week there are more and more comments like this. I give credit to those like Damien that wouldn't fall for TPTB's tactics.

Uhhhhh... no it's not?  I don't remember seeing that.  And you know if they had it on camera they would have used it.  Just payback since Pascal blabbed about TPTB's dirty tricks and Osher would say anything they told him to IMO.

ETA: Not saying Pascal didn't say the girls weren't hot enough.  I'm sure he did.  I expect most of the guys did.  I've said similar myself.  Just saying Osher's statement about it being on tape is a lie otherwise we would have seen it IMO.

Osher is IMO another puppet of the franchise, surely Osher does not expect smart people to actually believe that the show is not edited to create drama! As you said, it was not on camera, as Osher argues, and, I suspect that if Pascal actually said it in the context in which it was implied he did,  then I bet the producers would have shown it, they would not miss the chance IMO. Years ago I  used to like Osher a bit, but not anymore; Osher can be rather irritating. I find his comments highly hypocritical and somehow he seems to believe that he holds the moral ground. I don' know if you are reading this Osher but, OSHER: you work for a reality TV show that makes money by exploiting/manipulating people's emotions (the lead, the contestants, and the spectators) and which is not what used to be when the franchise first  started in Australia. Osher, your comments may promote abuse! Osher, by hosting a rubbish show,  you are contributing to the creation of inaccurate narratives in which characters are made 'villain's or 'saints' if it suits your franchise! You get paid for that! How did you ignore that,  Osher? Basically, Osher, you do not hold the most dignified job, the very pillars of your job are emotional manipulation. You don't hold the moral ground at all so better stay quiet! ...and perhaps Osher, you need to look back at how you were about 10 years ago? A Total mess!

A tidbit in the SD shownotes for her last podcast caught my eye, so I'm skipping through and thought I'd leave a couple bits and pieces..

- Producers and publicity have thrown in the towel for production. They apparently don't care if the boys go rogue, they don't care about the ratings, they're not organising many interviews/press.
- Because the boys were so disinterested in Becky and Elly, some of them were hitting on the HMU girls. Main offenders were James and Jake.
- Elly was saying two different things when the cameras were rolling and when they weren't (Honey Badger much). She told one of the guys she was falling for him the most, but the guy now figures she was saying it to all of them. He also believes she was saying it so they guys wouldn't walk and leave the show.
- Drink limit didn't include Elly and Becky. Elly and James smashed a bottle of fireball together and were off their faces, hooking up all night, James couldn't walk - producers had to carry him back to the mansion.
- One guy describe the girls as bogan, trashy, they constantly swore and weren't classy at all.
- Becky was anxious the whole time and acted as if she didn't want to be there. She'd get upset over the smallest things and make mountains out of molehills.
- Aggi apparently had a secret girlfriend during filming and he's still dating her now. Her name's Olivia and she's a PT.
- 13 single dates have been cut! After the waterpark date, Adam and Shannon were chosen by the cousin and friend to spend extra time with the girls. Adrian had a single/mini date (llamas).

And now for what made my ears pr*ck up.
- Damien was married?!?!
- I clearly did not read his contestant page... it definitely says it there
- His ex-wife got up one day and just left him. He was understandably heartbroken.
- She was European and they met on a Euro trip in 2015. Were married not long after. They moved to Australia. The wife went to visit her family some months later, and never came back to Australia.
- She completely ghosted him, didn't give him a reason why she wasn't returning to Australia.
- Damo has apparently never really gotten over her, and was quite hurt over it. He doesn't like to talk about it.

I was getting all up in the feels for Damien after that, but then Megan said this..
- Damien and Todd apparently chat with underage girls on the houseparty app.

Now this I can definitely believe.  

THIS is the theme they should have gone with, not the fake "sweet country girls" BS which isn't fooling anyone IMO.  It should have been full on bogan, B & S ball at 4am, sh*tfaced shagging in the back of a ute style TRASH TV.  

Maybe then they could rightfully claim the Country Girls tag.  

Elly's perfectly curated Instagram image would have been destroyed and 90% of the audience would have hated it but at least it would have been more realistic and entertaining than this boring, watered down, torturous SNOOZEFEST.

Only the girls doing media rounds. Been on Kyle and Jackie O show. With all these negative reviews, the girls are just trying to deny them. Elly was much better on the Bachelor. On the Bachelorette, sometimes her dressing and hairstyle doesnt suit her at all. Also some of her expressions make her looked so vicious

I honestly thought I would never say this after Locky's season,but if there ever two ladies they could've stretched one ep to 2 and put necessary content and get rid of 2 guys at once, not 1.

I was about to start to feel sorry for Damien, but that talking with underage girls, wtf?

Oh my gosh, what a mess. Everything is getting disgusting by the minute.
