@Bobette, the brand of ball is Gopher which is a brand you usually see in schools (we have them at mine), and this one looks about dodgeball size - so he could be a PE teacher / kids sports coach.. not sure with the signatures on it though. And him dressed in green and gold, hm.. Just need him with a frothy in hand, haha. But perhaps he plays for the Aus Dodgeball team? (but he doesn't seem to match anyone, nor anyone from the Handball team).. I'm just throwing ideas out here. Maybe cricket with the yellow baggy? But then the ball is too big. Sports coach from the Goldy?

I think he could be Tim Anderson?

Yeah I've been looking at national teams for handball, volleyball etc but no dice - his uniform looks pretty low quality so might be his old school uniform or something?  Or the uniform of his school if he's a teacher?  The writing could be messages from his students.  Wish we could get a clear look at the writing on the pocket.  Obviously a sporty guy one way or another.

OK I'm back  The hair colour is close but the nose doesn't match IMO.  Keep the ideas coming - someone must know him.

Doesn't look like Olympics or Commonwealth games (I can't see a crest) but perhaps a smaller Asia-Pacific competition?  

And what's the ball - doesn't look like soccer.  Handball?  Volleyball?  Who's signatures are on it - team mates?  Students?

@GuardianAngel - I think that guy lives in Germany (and he looks like he's got his act together too much to be a contestant on this show). If he's part of a team or a school teacher someone's bound to recognise him when the ads start IMO.

Are you able to do your magic zoom again @Bobette?  There is some insignia on his jacket and cap.  Imo it is dodgeball, because of the number of balls he brought.  If anyone has seen the movie, it is the silliest of sports

@Agent99 Nice find - don't know how I missed that photo!  I have done a CSI enhance () and it's pixelly AF but does indeed look like the Australian coat of arms so might be a legit AU representative.

Hmmm... actually it might be too symmetrical to be the national coat of arms - looks more like two emus than an emu and kangaroo?  Maybe a state crest? Anyway time to research dodgeball teams...

ETA:  OMG dodgeball is the BEST   Haven't found a match for the contestant but what a sport.  Thank you for bringing this knowledge into my life @Agent99 @butterflylove I will now be disappointed if he plays anything else.

Sadly it appears dodgeball players have too much fashion sense to wear a boring old green blazer with AU crest so he might play another sport (or perhaps it was just something they dragged out of the Ch 10 wardrobe department).

Meanwhile... this could be how they're getting around Osher's absence - seems like they're setting the scene for a scenario where he just Zooms in occasionally while the rest of the time the girls "chat" (read: read from their scripts) to each other about what's going on, instead of Osh.

I thought the same thing after looking at a few dodgeball websites @Bobette.  No official blazers and caps for them

I noticed the top part of the crest yesterday and tried to zoom and enlarge but it gets too blurry.

Now that I see more of the emblem, I zoomed again. The first word looks like "The" and the second Eagle?

The green jacket, when I first looked at it reminded me of the Green Jacket at The Masters (Golf) but that's definitely a dodge ball.

I haven't paid attention to whether he's been in studio or on a screen on The Project this week, but I know there was a rumour he was one of the Masked singers earlier this week. Let's hope it's not true, and he is Osher's replacement.

Last week Tommy is back in Sydney. Is there a break in filming?

More headache for Ch 10. Tonight they are supposed to be filming the final episode of TMS. Filming was shutdown due to 7 dances contracted Covid 19. Now all cast are in isolation. Not sure for how long. More delay for Osher to host The Bachelorette.
