The Bachelor is rocked by WILD claims Locky Gilbert made a 'secret pact' with contestant Bella Varelis to guarantee her a place in the finale

The Bachelor hasn't even premiered yet, but it's already at the centre of a scandal.

On Monday, reports surfaced that Locky Gilbert had secretly guaranteed one of his contestants, Bella Varelis, a place in the final two before filming began.

According to Woman's Day, the 30-year-old got in touch with Bella, 25, via mutual friends earlier this year and they made a 'deal'.

'They have mutual friends and spoke before the show. There was chatter he promised her she'd be top two,' a source claimed.

The insider added that Bella and Locky hit it off straight away in the mansion, and their seemingly instant connection upset some of the other women.

They also alleged that Bella was a 'producer's pet' who played up her emotions and delivered for the cameras.

Thanks @Enough.  Izzy is lined up to be a fan favourite IMO and that quote from Irena saying she's "always the bridesmaid" is no accident IMO. Also having a nurse win during a pandemic... could they have scripted it any better.  

If Irena is the winner, they will have to interview the couple via zoom if Victoria don't get their act together and states still have border restrictions. Maybe that will suit Locky
