Re: Bachelor Australia - Season 8 - Locky Gilbert - Media SM - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
Bachelor Locklan 'Locky' Gilbert has apparently been eyeing off many of the female contestants on the upcoming series.
According to a report in Confidential on Sunday, the 30-year-old has been hooking-up with many of the stars, with producers giving him a 'talking to' to tone it down.
'No one is shocked by Locky being so keen,' an insider told the publication.
The source added that all of the female contestants this season are very attractive: 'The girls this year are smoking hot.'
The whispers come after Locky raised eyebrows with a Mother's Day post earlier this month, that appeared to prove he hasn't found love on the show.
Locky shared a photo of flowers he had purchased for his mother: 'There is only one woman special enough for this amount of flowers.'
In earlier reports, he was seen enjoying the company of former Married At First Sight bride, Aleks Markovic. He went on to say the pair were just friends.
The Survivor star famously 'blindsided' his ex-girlfriend Brooke Jowett, who said she was 'hurt' when finding out about his new role through Channel 10's official announcement in March.
He was also previously linked to Love Island Australia star Jordan Cayless.
Filming Locky's season began in early March. It's unclear what measures were put in place to reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus.
Photos taken during filming saw Locky on a number of group dates and single dates.
At one point, the cast went into self-isolation and filmed 'virtual dates' over Zoom, but it's unclear how long this continued for.
The wider narrative of the coronavirus pandemic will 'form part of the story' of The Bachelor's eighth season.
A premiere date is yet to be announced.

@GuardianAngel the wording is very intriguing isn't it? "Hooking up" translates to sex in my mind, which suggests he and the contestants have been sneaking around seeing each other rather than isolating like the rest of the country has been.
He's obviously not being monitored very closely considering he was also snapped socialising with that MAFS chick. And the article suggests multiple contestants. Could make for a fiery season if he's been playing the field during the break.

Hmm if he is back living in Perth, that would mean a max of 2-3 girls. A bit of exaggeration imo, but I'm not calling complete bs on this article, because I get an impression that Locky can't keep his fly zipped for one minute

Yeah I'd buy it too.
This season will certainly have an ~ interesting dynamic ~ if the Lead's already sleeping with contestants half way through.
Less "build up" for the finale, and more potential for genuine drama/jealousy/messiness. I'm intrigued to see how it plays out.
ETA: It just gets better and better.

Incoming Bachelor Locklan 'Locky' Gilbert has been caught 'sliding into the DMs' of raunchy models on Instagram.
According to a report in New Idea magazine this week, the 30-year-old, who starred on the last season of Survivor, has been caught contacting and 'liking' raunchy photos of mostly models.
'He's been sliding into the DMs of several women on Instagram,' the source confirmed to the publication.
The unnamed 'insider' told the publication it was part of his strategy to get to know the beautiful women.
'He likes all of their photos to get their attention,' they explained.
'He sends them a cheeky message and, of course, they're more than happy to reply, considering he's Australia's most eligible Bachelor.'
The insider finished by saying he also 'likes' photos of women who already have some kind of media profile on the platform.
It is unknown if some of these Instagram stars will be cast on the new season of the show. He has liked pictures from influencer Tahlia Rubio and Claire Lucinda.

Contestants maybe - Lead apparently not? Maybe yesterday was his last day of "freedom" and he's headed back to NSW today? Surely that would mean he needs to quarantine for 2 weeks though...

Just wondering how he hooked up with the contestants if he is in Perth and the girls are in Sydney. Did he travel between Sydney and Perth a few times in the last 2 monthsBobette wrote:Contestants maybe - Lead apparently not? Gosh it's been nearly 2 months since production stopped - surely the girls would have gone home.

@Enough Some of the girls would be from WA so he could have hooked up with those - but IMO it's more likely he's been "socialising" with girls outside the cast.
I assumed they had let the cast & crew go back to their home states in March when production shut down and we were all being told to go home and roost?
I very much doubt they've kept them at the mansion the whole time, but with production about to restart maybe they've recalled the top few back to NSW?
I agree though @Agent99 - it's been so long, and there are so many rumours, I can't see a lasting relationship coming out of this mess. Of course, I will still watch.

I have to say, the fact that this is happening on the season when the Lead is potentially the biggest horn dog they've ever cast is deliciously ironic.

ETA:
How Australian dating shows will continue after the COVID-19 pandemic
Australian dating shows will drastically change following the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's expected that local networks will follow the strict safety precautions that several European production companies have now implemented on shoots overseas.
Social distancing on set, constant temperature checks and plexiglass walls between the cast and crew are just some of the changes, which will ruin all of the romance.
The German and Finnish versions of Temptation Island are set to start filming in Europe in June, with bosses now finalising safety measures, Variety report.
Other precautions include quarantining the cast and crew before filming, having people wear masks and gloves on set, as well as daily temperature checks.
Vehicles and control rooms will also have plexiglass walls installed, in a bid to keep people apart from each other and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In Australia, The Bachelor is likely to resume filming in the coming weeks.
Production was halted in Sydney in March with Locklan 'Locky' Gilbert, the crew and contestants all returning to their homes across Australia to self-isolate.
It was initially claimed Locky would have virtual dates with the girls during this time to maintain their connection, but he was recently spotted growing close to Married At First Sight's Aleks Markovic in Perth. She claims they're 'just friends'.
The Bachelorette always starts filming immediately after The Bachelor wraps. Both show are filmed in the same Oxford Falls mansion on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

he can't have, there's been no commercial domestic flights (except one syd-melb flight). And the WA border was locked down (not sure how that affects WA residents but they were pretty strict).
Unless Ten paid for private flights for him to do that, in which case...
I'm pretty sure they would have sent the women home, I can't imagine them being kept in an airbnb for two months doing nothing.
