@Enough I have no idea. Skype is adequate for business meetings or talking to grandchildren interstate but for developing romantic connections worthy of being aired on national TV? I have my doubts. Should have just canned the whole season IMO.

Let's hope they really have given up on the idea of Zoomdating and are just going to can it for this year

Re: Bachelor Australia - Season 8 - Locky Gilbert - Media SM - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
The thing that makes me think it's still going on is that Locky is still very quiet on SM - if he was a free man I think he'd at least have started following a whole bunch of trashy single girls so he can "make the most of the situation" if you get my drift. But his recent follows are mostly businesses (camping, cabins etc) and only one recent post, about a waterfall, with very boring/PG replies to comments.
Also IMO if they'd canned it TPTB would have made an announcement. But they seem to think their programme is an "essential business" (just like the NRL seem to think Australian society can't function without being able to watch 13 men chase an inflated pig skin around a rugby field). As we have said before, IMO this is about money, and TPTB not wanting to refund sponsors for an abandoned season.
ETA: What's the betting they did a deal with Zoom. Two birds one stone.

I have to admit, I already thought Locky was an awful Bachelor choice and still do, and then all this happened and Channel Ten have made weird choices like holding back BiP and messing around with dumb things like online video dating, instead of just putting the show on hold altogether. I would be okay with this season being a massive flop so they make a better choice next time.

Osher Günsberg reveals the sad fate of The Bachelor's new season starring Locky Gilbert... five weeks after production was shut down due to coronavirus fears
Filming of the eighth season of The Bachelor Australia starring Locklan 'Locky' Gilbert was suspended in late March.
And the franchise's longtime host, Osher Günsberg, has shared the news all fans have been dreading: the show is unlikely to resume filming anytime soon.
He said on the Shameless podcast on Thursday: 'We are on hiatus. I don't know what's going to happen... and I don't think they [the producers] do either.'
Despite taking 'extra precautions' during the coronavirus pandemic, Channel 10 and Warner Bros. decided to halt production with immediate effect last month.
The network came to the decision after considering all other available options, and said they planned to resume filming as soon as it was deemed safe.
When asked what his plans had been for 2020 before 'everything went to s**t', Osher, 46, revealed he'd expected to spend several months working on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
But both productions are now looking uncertain because of the global health crisis.
Osher said he wanted to help Locky find love, but he also didn't want 'to risk [his] family's health by coming to work every day'.
He acknowledged that The Bachelor franchise employs many people who need to support their families, but said the public health has to take priority.
'At the end of the day, I couldn't give a s**t [about money]. I'd go live in a caravan. I'll be able to make enough money again eventually,' he said.
'But I can't buy my kids new lungs, and if one of them were to die, I can't buy that. The economic argument goes out the window.'
Osher and his wife, makeup artist Audrey Griffen, whom he met on The Bachelor six years ago, share an eight-month-old son named Wolfgang.
He is also a stepfather to Audrey's 16-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, Georgia.
In recent weeks, Osher has been extremely vocal about the importance of social distancing and hand washing during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The 2020 season of Bachelor in Paradise is the only show in the dating franchise that was filmed before the pandemic.
It had been scheduled to air earlier this year, but was postponed so that Channel 10 could prioritise its news coverage in the evenings.
It's likely to return after MasterChef, but no premiere date has been announced.

You would think so. Have you been paying attention, where the 6 panelists are in a studio with the host are not filming in the studio. You think it is easier to film with the panelists sitting 1.5m apart and they don't move around. But they are doing the right thing and have them filming from home. Its just not possible for The Bachelor to continue to film. I just don't understand how Master chef is still filming.

They should have taken the whole cast up to the NT before borders closed - no new cases for 2+ weeks, fewer restrictions than elsewhere in the country, and still bikini weather!
But yeah, surely it's a lost cause at this point. Good on Osher for being so relaxed about the whole thing and prioritising his family's wellbeing. The girls still seem locked down though so

Yeah I know I was only joking.
With our country doing so well at the moment (TOUCH WOOD) I think we will see restrictions starting to lift in NSW soon, so restarting production might be a possibility, but it would be so messy and jarring with the time jump. Plus can anyone really see Locky keeping it in his pants that long?
I'm intrigued to see what they do with this season though.
ETA: HA! I knew he couldn't last.
EXCLUSIVE: The Bachelor Locky Gilbert busted with Married At First Sight's Aleks Markovic during break from filming after coronavirus forced Channel 10 to halt production
Things have gone from bad to worse for this year's season of The Bachelor.
After COVID-19 shut production down in March, it looks like Locklan 'Locky' Gilbert may find himself a girlfriend on his own before filming eventually resumes.
Since returning home to Perth after filming was halted in Sydney, the 30-year-old has been spending time with Married At First Sight's Aleks Markovic, 27.
Aleks and Locky met through mutual friends, and have been socialising.
Daily Mail Australia understands that the Survivor star accidentally appeared in the background of Aleks' Instagram Live interview with Kyron Dryden on Saturday.
It is believed he quickly stepped out of the shot before anyone could take a screenshot, with confused fans commenting, 'wasn't that the Bachelor?'.
Locky recently followed Aleks on Instagram, as well as another Perth-based beauty.
When approached for comment by Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, Aleks denied there was anything romantic going on between herself and Locky.
'I was with him on Saturday night, he's a friend of a friend. Super nice guy,' she commented, confirming he was present when she did her Instagram Live.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 and Locky for comment.

Not a good look to be "socialising" when the rest of us are isolating IMO.

Found some pics of the RC just before production shut down. These are dated 22 March (production halt announced 4 days later).
Between these and the March 11 pics we probably have the entire cast now - unless some girls are being deliberately hidden.

Rain Hail or Shine, The Bachelor girls Australia are pictured filming while COVID-19 rapidly takes grip thought out the world.
The girls can be seen getting ready for an upcoming Rose Ceremony.
