Isn't it a little insensitive to say, "I never pictured my wedding until I met Blake," when she was at one time planning a wedding with someone else? This is one of the reasons I can't get behind this couple. They both have either made insensitive comments like this one or handled this situation less than admirably. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

In a word, yes. Maybe she meant she never pictured a June wedding in South Carolina until she met Blake. In any case, Wetpaint cracks me up for digging this up.

Bachelor Stars DeAnna Pappas and Holly Durst Shop for Wedding Dresses

Blake & Holly - Discussion - Thread #1 - Page 38 46305PCN_NewWedding34

Cue the Wedding March! Former Bachelor stars DeAnna Pappas and Holly Durst are picking out their wedding dresses in preparation to marry the Stagliano twins.

This double wedding embodies the "it's a small world" reality of the Bachelor franchise. A quick history: DeAnna Pappas was the last girl standing on The Bachelor Season 11 when Brad Womack decided he'd rather saunter back to Texas alone. Now he's getting a second stab at being The Bachelor on Season 15 in January. DeAnna then became The Bachelorette and chose Jesse Csincsak. They were engaged briefly, but soon broke up. Jesse eventually started dating Holly Durst, who was on Matt Grant's The Bachelor: London Calling. After Holly and Jesse broke up, Holly and DeAnna ended up bonding over their shared (bad?) experiences with him.

Meanwhile, Michael Stagliano was on Jillian Harris's Season 5 of The Bachelorette. When he wasn't picked, he ended up dating Holly Durst. To complete this whole tangled web, DeAnna began dating Michael's twin brother, Stephen, who has no other relation to The Bachelor franchise. The four of them announced their joint engagements in the same week that Jesse announced his own engagement to a past Bachelor contestant. Coincidence? We think not.

And now future sisters-in-law DeAnna and Holly are shopping for wedding dresses. Entertainment Tonight tagged along as the ladies watched an Alfred Angelo fashion show and tried the dresses on for themselves. "I'm going mermaid," DeAnna says of her bridal style, while Holly says, "I'm going more of like a Cinderella dress, ball gown, [style]."

Could they end up picking the same gown? DeAnna laughs, "We think that could be a problem. We'll duke it out."

"I've never tried on a wedding dress in my entire life so I can't wait to just put the first one on," Holly says. "I'm hoping that it's the whole beginner's luck [thing] and the first one I put on, I fall in love with."

Speaking of love and luck, DeAnna jokes, "We're hoping that the four of us still love each other when all of this is done."

Watch the video for more sisterly bliss.

Call me old fashion, but I think Holly is entitled the the wedding of her dreams without having to give a second thought to Michael because Michael dumped her.

Even so, I read that stuff, too, and exactly when did she say she pictured her wedding with Michael?

Why should Holly be sensitive about Micheal? He threw her under the bus after the BP finale. Maybe she didn't really picture herself marrying Michael which is why she broke off the engagement.

I'm not asking her to be sensitive to Michael's feelings. But that doesn't mean I can't find her comment insensitive considering she was planning a wedding with him. Usually when you're planning a wedding, you picture what it looks like. But if you don't have a problem with it, more power to you.

I still don't like the whole engagement news breaking so that's my first problem with these two. I think both of them could have handled several things differently too. Of course I wish them the best of luck with their relationship, but I definitely can't say I'm a fan.

Yeah. I think Michael has ridden the sympathy train for long enough. She originally broke off the engagement for a reason but then got a second chance with him and he broke it off because he couldn't get over her breaking it off. Had he not seen the sparks flying between her and Blake in the BP2 house, I'm not sure he would have been in hot pursuit of her again.

She cannot live the rest of her life tippy toeing around his "feelings." He certainly made no qualms of describing the kind of woman he was looking for now: short and blond ... which is the polar opposite of Holly. LOL!

hell when Tom Cruise spoke about Katie Holmes and jumped all over Oprah's couch, he gave no consideration to the woman he was married to for almost 10 years and had 2 adopted children with. Stuff happens, people say insensitive stuff.

Heck, I recall Jason (on DeAnna's season) telling her sister that he had never felt about anyone the way he felt about DeAnna and her sister said "not even your wife?" LOL! He went on to propose to two other women from TV after DeAnna.

giggling Three televised proposals - that has to be a record! Let's hope that Blake's televised proposal to Holly will be the only one we see from him. I wish them all the best, regardless of how they met.

I agree that Michael has rode the sympathy train long enough. Time to hop off and find that short, blond gal of his dreams.

I don't want to get to hung up by the use of the word "insensitive." TBH, my feelings about what Holly said have nothing to do with Michael. I agree that it's time for him to move on, and from everything I can tell, he has. But if you're shopping for your wedding gown with the media in tow for a second time, it might be a wee bit disingenuous to say it's the first time you've pictured your wedding. It reminds me of the way the Kardashians all acted like Kim's marriage and wedding was such a "once in a lifetime event," even though she'd been married before. Nothing to be ashamed off, but no need for revisionist history, either. Then again, those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. I'm sure Holly will make a similar statement when she's planning her next wedding too.
