sjcaligurl, did you hear any rumors that Holly and Michael's break up was so they could go on BP to try and win the money, and then get back together. (and they are 'partnered up'). I heard it months ago, after the last breakup. However, if RS is right and Holly is with Blake post show, I assume the rumor was wrong, or she fell for Blake and the whole 'plan' fell through and backfired. Just wonder if anyone else heard that rumor?

I think her other ex is putting that out there just like he is saying that Graham is still with Chrishell. Holly and Michael broke up in March. The timeline just isn't right. Nothing backfired. She's with Blake and it seems serious.

Blake’s Bachelor Pad Blog: Episode 3

Back again, here is my take on this week’s episode 3 of Bachelor Pad. We have it all this week: crying girls, a princess turned spy, more crying girls, and an ending that gave Tony Soprano deja vu. This week wasted no time diving right back into the drama that seemingly follows Melissa (and myself) like a cartoon rain cloud. Kirk made a very astute observation early on, proclaiming, “having a partner who is slightly crazy can get you in trouble.” I spent the remainder of my time at the mansion finding out just how much trouble it would earn me. However bizarre Melissa’s actions may have seemed, in any other context I believe they would be justified. Anyone with a sister or daughter would surely agree that playing on someone’s emotions is unacceptable. And for that reason I was sorry to hear Melissa say I hurt her. I was also surprised, seeing as how she developed these feelings in such a short amount of time. Some people claim to wear their heart on their sleeve. I can only surmise that in Melissa’s case, her sleeves are in fact constructed from actual emotions (perhaps the reason she’s always cold). In the context of this game, however, where everyone is playing to win a quarter of a million dollars, matters of the heart are clearly a detriment. Still, that is no excuse for hurting someone’s feelings. I wish we could have had a civil conversation to diffuse the situation rather than an argument, which only served to pour gas on the fire.

The following day brings less arguing, a sunny sky, and the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever had the privilege of doing. After the previous night’s tumult, I was really hoping I could win this challenge. As we walked out and saw what Chris Harrison had in store for us I knew I was doomed. Damn it man, I’m a dentist, not a synchronized swimmer! I’ve got to hand it to the guys though. Everyone put their best smile on and got after it. Even though there could only be one winner, everyone approached the challenged with a team attitude. Maybe that’s why we dominated over the girls–if you can call floundering in a pool trying not to drown “domination.” Last year’s winners Natalie Getz and Dave Good certainly had their work cut out for them. Picking a winner from our melee must’ve been like determining which pile of cow dung smelled the least awful. We all stunk. For the sake of brevity, we’ll cut to the chase: Michelle and Michael won. Special shout outs have to go to Erica for the best bunny hop/dive ever; to Michael for his gratuitous crotch grab while flying through the air; and to the editing staff for taking out most of the bawdy exclamations uttered when we revealed our speedos.

Following the competition, Kasey and Vienna finally succumb to the pressures of the insane asylum that is the Bachelor Pad, and the facade of their perfect relationship comes crashing to the ground. I found it most interesting that Kasey basically admitted to scheming with Vienna, carefully constructing an assassination plot on Jake’s character before entering the house. So when Kasey sees Vienna being cordial, which in my humble opinion is the adult thing to do, he loses his cool. Perhaps it’s episodes like that that lead her to say, “I don’t want it to be an engagement ring.” Her statement reveals a lot about their relationship, regardless of the reason. It seems to me this game would be a whole lot different if everyone actually started on equal footing.

Speaking of footing, stomping grapes on Michelle’s date at the vineyard was incredible (check out the deleted scenes). I’m sure Kasey and Graham, who were also in attendance, would agree. The setting was so beautiful and serene, it allowed all of us to take a deep breath and enjoy the simple pleasure of being away from that pressure cooker of a mansion. Michelle pulled me aside for a little motherly advice, basically telling me if I don’t make up with Melissa I’ll be headed home. This fact that seemed rather obvious to me, but it was good to get a little confirmation and allowed me to put a game plan together. The rest of the date was geared towards the budding romance between Graham and Michelle. The setting for their one-on-one time looked like it was straight out of the Little Mermaid. So much so that I was basically waiting for a frog to jump up and start singing, “sha-la-la-la, you’ve got to kiss the girl”. Kasey, however, remained quiet.

Michael, winning for the second time in a row, again selects Holly to go on his date along with Ella and Vienna. Hilarity abounds as they put on some sweet looking helmets and go horseback riding. Vienna seems to dominate the commentary with incessant whining about everything under the sun, and then even the sun itself. Apparently her horse couldn’t take any more and started to trot, hurrying them to their destination in an unpleasantly jarring fashion. The date concludes on Bret Michaels’ tour bus as the rocker serenades Holly and Michael with, “Every Rose has its Thorn.” Could that be more appropriate?

Watching Erica Rose this episode kept a constant smile on my face. She was cracking me up the whole time. She made a smart move trying to turn the tide away from the power couples, got herself a new partner, and flexed her intellectual strength over Melissa. And she did all this while locking lips with Jake–lips maintained every six months, mind you! Her strategic capability is commendable, but her spy skills definitely leave something to be desired. What if she had to tell you how to disarm a bomb? Her slow monotone would literally kill you. Her stealthily (I’m using that term loosely) comings and goings were hilarious.

Jake and Erica work together making a strong push to get Kasey out of the house and purloin his seat as “The Godfather.” Everything was going according to plan until William pipes up with his first speaking appearance of the show and uses it to tip off Kasey to the plan. Ding Dong! I also found it interesting that Kasey and Vienna directly confronted Melissa and Erica, laying a guilt trip on them for the exact same thing they did to Ames and Jackie the week before. Hi, Pot…. meet Kettle. All of Kasey’s huffing and puffing would have been for naught if only Kirk had played a better game. His decision as the swing vote was a crucial one, and unfortunately for all the Jake fans (and fans of intelligent game play) it was the wrong one. We’ll see if it turns out to hurt him in the end. Finally, what was with the show’s ending? I can only imagine Jake will get a little more airtime next week. Lame. Until next week…

There's a preview with Holly & Blake's date. I just don't like Holly. hmmm

Holly just does not seem to know what her feelings for Michael are. I am not sure if she really understands how strong Michaels feels for her. In the upcoming episode Michael tells her that he is completely in love with her. Is she trying to let him down easy or lead him on? I am just completely confused when it comes to this couple. They are either crying, flirting and just trying to figure out there current status on there relationship. Its almost like a roller coaster ride that you never know when its going to end.

Seemed like Holly isn't interested in Michael to me. That date with Blake was strange. Why did they show Michelle's date from last episode in the preview?

Holly knows but I think she is tired. I didn't know that their relationship was that up and down. She's right, though. It really shouldn't be that hard ... not in the beginning. I thought they were a cute/perfect couple but if Blake is a better match, I guess she should follow her heart. Michael is pretty typical. He wants her back now that he sees someone else is interested. He cannot have it both ways. She broke up with him last fall for a few days. He dates her a few months after that and decides he can't get over the fact that she got a little scared? I think he sees/saw how stable his brother and DeAnna were and started comparing. You really cannot do that because he and Holly are different people. It's sad. He's a nice guy from a nice family. Holly is a sweet girl. Too bad they couldn't/cannot work it out.

Good Post

Regarding the bolded I agree with you completely. From a lot of the twitter messages betwen Holly and Blake I would not be surprised if they are still together since Bachelor Pad season was filmed. I am curious why she did not team up Blake after this upcoming date if she was so interested in him. Instead she decided to stay with Michael so I can see where he is getting mixed signals from her.

Good Post I agree As cliche as it sounds: sometimes - sadly - love is not enough. :Frown:
You can have 2 good people who do love each other. but it just doesn't work....

If Holly & Blake are happy together, I'm happy for them!

I think Mike is an awesome guy - he will have no trouble finding a wonderful girl to share his life with. yes

I think Michael & Holly got caught up in the Deanna/Steven wedding quadrangle. I think both Michael & Holly loved being ina foursome with Deanna & Steven and once they knew they were headed for and got engaged they wanted to follow suit. They liked the idea of the double wedding and twins & best friends getting married at the same time. However, they weren't both ready emotionally to get engaged. Holly cared about Michael and probably was heading towards getting engaged eventually but wasn't ready at the time they got engaged. However, she got excited doing the wedding prep with Deanna as any girl who wants to get married at some point would. Plus, the added attraction of getting married with her best friend. Michael knew from the beginning that he could see Holly as his wife, whether he was ready is up for debate, so he decided why not get married when he and his twin could have a double wedding.

Then, Holly started getting nervous because she wasn't really ready yet so she broke it off. It blinsided Michale since he had put his heart and his ego out there. Then, when a few days later with some distance, Holly decided she couldn't live without Michael , wanted to get back with him and just slow things down, Michael took her back. However, I think he was really still in shock from her breaking the engagement and just took her back on reflex without really thinking out how he felt. I don't think he and Holly really talked at that time about why Holly left, what her concerns were when she left, and about how Michael felt about her leaving. Instead when Michael took her back Holly took that as a sign that he forgave her and that things were okay with them working things out. She'd found more clarity and was happy to be back with him & in love, and thought for the few months they were back together that they were on the same page and moving in a positive direction.

While Michael, on the other hand, was still reeling from the original breakup and just going through the motions while his heart, ego and mind were telling him he didn't want to risk being hurt again. So, he decided in his mind that while he still love dher he couldn't ever see himself trusting he renough to propose to her again so he should breakup with her. However, he did all this and came to this conclusion without ever talking to her beforehand and seeing if they could talk things out and him gaina better perspective on what made her leave and what made her come back. And see if they could work towards earning that trust back with both of them knowing what's going on. Instead, now Holly wa sthe one blinsided thinking they were doing well and making ago of it and not knowing for sure why Michael was breaking up with her. She knew at that point that she loved him and wanted to be him so her concerns had been allayed. After he broke up with her she was confused but decided she was going to try and move on without him. Which may have worked fine over time had they kept leading seprate lives.

However, now they are forced to live together and be around each other 24/7 in the Bachelor mansion and watch each other go on dates with other people. Michael is still majorly in love with her and wants to be with her and is regretting letting her go now that he's spending time with her and they are starting to talk again. Holly still has feelings for him but since she is confused at why he dumped her is trying to forge ahead and experiencing anew attraction with Blake. She doesn't understand Michale being so emotional and wanting to be with her now when it was his decision this last time to breakup and it's confusing her. Add to that she sees potential with Blake without all the baggage and confusion she has with Michael. Michael wants her to be happy but, is scared he's gonna really lose her for good to someone else. In reality they both need to deal with fully ending and recovering from the relationship they had with each other before the move on to someone else. However, that rarely happens these days in the real world much less the Bachelor world. As long as they ar earound each other so much they both will keep having moment sof pulling back to each other because they both have residual feelings for each other and the nostalgia of their prior relationship and friendship. Only difference is Holly also has potential with someone else while Michale only has Holly to focus on. Once Blake leaves perhaps they will be able to iron things out and really end things or come to some resolution instead of the back and forth. However, they won't if they don't become better at communicating fully everything that they feel and that was behind both of their breakups. JMO
