Bachelorette 15 - Hannah Brown - July 29 & 30 - Finale - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

We only see a fraction of any of these dates. The FSDs probably last roughly 18 hours and we see maybe 15 minutes of them. That is true for all 3 (Luke’s clearly shorter but still long]. Tyler’s isn’t different than any others. Imo

Thanks for having me go and recheck because I was wrong about the Hannah shoes statement. It was about Hannah and Tyler’s date in the Netherlands. Oops Sorry!! But then again looking at cary’s iG full of Tyler and Hannah pics is never a bad thing! I'll edit my original post.

She may have been, I don't want to read too much into it, because I don't know them personally.  But on Hannah's date with Tyler in Amsterdam, she mentioned what she adored and did not about her parents relationship.  That they did not communicate, I got this vibe as well when she visited her home town with Chris Harrison at the beginning of the season.  It struck me as odd that they were not shown together, but it could have been taken on a work day mid-week. They seem like such nice sweet nice people.
But how she has chosen to pursue Jed and Luke, makes me wonder about the lack of communication that has been modeled for her.  Sometimes, people fall in love with what they know, or what familiar emotional pattern fits into their paradigm for what love should look like, not what it really is.  It is interesting to see how Luke and Jed, put binders, and communicate how she is supposed to feel and think, and how that makes them happy. Where as Tyler, gives her the freedom to be and feel love in the way that is best for her.  Real love gives freedom to express yourself, and embraces your being, not your perception. So hopefully, she pursues what is best for her. Sorry for the deep dive

A lot of good footage ends up on the cutting floor...and I would think that there are many scenes with a Tyler and Hannah that we’re almost too realistic and gave away their connection a little too much. The editors like to keep us guessing.

No wonder they had to re-edit on midway through the season! Too much good footage to choose from

Trying to figure out this season's narrative arc, I went back to the premiere where Hannah talks about the type of love she wants. She emphasizes wanting someone who loves all of her as she is. She interestingly says "bless him" because she's a lot to handle [her words not mine]. During her FSD dinner with Jed, she said, "you're so great with me." Has she said that about or to Peter or Tyler this season? I've only actively watched recently.

Three observations:
1. The show introduced confusion after Tyler's FSD by showing us Hannah's emotional response to him leaving her. Typically, when we see a lead giving a PI to close out a FSD segment rather than a contestant, it's a clue that the person is F3. Maybe this time, though, it's the turning point for Hannah/Tyler (I'm more open to a late-in-the-game switch after Becca's season when she shifted to Garrett after FSDs).

2. Regular rising conflict is part of Hannah-Jed dynamic: Since HTDs, they're overcoming hurdles: first, his family's uninterested response; then, Jed's discontent over her relationship with Luke; then, the questioning at dinner. The previews hint that more might still be in store if her family disapproves of Jed (reminds me of JP with Ashley H's family). Usually, when the show depicts a couple facing challenges and overcoming them together, it's the final couple.

3. Hannah, not Jed, closes out Jed's HTD with PIs, whereas the other HTDs end with the contestant talking about the relationship (I checked, and Colton also closes out his HTD with Cassie). The show wants us to know what the lead is thinking about: she's concerned he might not be ready for engagement. IMO, they're showing us that because she's thinking about being engaged to him.

Have we seen Jed-Hannah or Tyler-Hannah as a couple in every episode since the premiere? I ask that b/c the show usually includes the final couple in every episode (even if it's a brief moment) to build their "love story."

Yes and no, there is a lot of frakenbiting in the promos and itms, but they do leave bread crumbs along the way. Seems to me they did this more when Elan was one of the producers. With the new staff, not sure how they are procuring the storyboards. Or what the arcs are supposed to be, except for the obvious ones like Peter's story.
