He and Haley weren’t dating when he started the app process and even the first month or two of it, it may be truthful to say no. I AM NOT givin* him a bye as he should have let TPTB know when it changed but it may have been factual when completed. IMO
Didn't Haley say that he told her up front he had applied?
ETA:According to Stevens, Wyatt told her three weeks into their relationship that he was in the casting process for The Bachelorette; he allegedly explained that he only planned to make it to the top five.

That's when I would have told him to have a good life.
If I remember correctly in RS podcast she met Jed in October but they had their first date Nov 1, 3 weeks after they started dating, he told her he had applied, but they agreed to continue since who knows if he'd even get a call. He did get a call in Feb that he had been cast, before they went to the Bahamas I know RS asked her specifically about the contradicting statements out there, she said her story has stayed the same, but that other media outlets take bits and pieces from the original and write their own story from that.
Just to confirm, this account of Haley's story during the RS podcast is spot on.
I personally thought she was believable.

So Patrick Brown made a post on his IG story 7 hours ago calling out the folks (specifically Christians) trying to judge and use negativity to break down his sister. Me thinks Hannah is not in a good place right now & glad Patrick has also spoken out also. Since we sleuthed that Hannah is back home in Alabama with her family, I truly hope she is getting all the support she needs at this time.

While I do not agree with cyber bullying period, anyone who goes on this show better have thick skin and be able to deal with criticism. Hannah is being attacked for her choices. Jed is being attacked for his past. People on SM can be brutal. I was surprised the other day to see on my FB feed two Christian bloggers talking about her comment, "I have had sex, and Jesus still loves me." People completely roasted her in the comments. The criticism she is receiving goes deeper than just the situation with Jed. That is why I cannot see a reunion with Tyler on ATFR. She needs time to deal with everything that is surrounding her. Jmho.

@Mommyof2 but did these same Christians call out Ben Higgins who IMO wasn’t a saint in the FS and also Colton for the heavy make outs he did with some of the girls on his season? IA people should have a thick skin but the double standard applied to women is beyond appalling & hypocritical to me....jmho.

imo everything being weird and moving fast is probably a normal reaction many couples have after coming out of an 8 week process with a fiance they have spent 24-48 hours with in total in a fantasy filled tour of the world. coming back to real life where you barely know the person you are engaged to probably is weird.Sharnee wrote:alwayscooking wrote:I wonder if Jed's dad's IG rant that he had which was after HTD's was about Jed still going through with all this knowing he still had Haley back home. Reading it back again, I get a sense that Jed may have said he was in love with Hannah on HTD's and the dad is really questioning sincerity, like he felt he was influenced by "the bubble".
It's on this page if anyone wants to read it again https://www.bachandbachettefans.net/t5131p36-bachelorette-15-jed-wyatt-sleuthing-spoilers
Another thing, in RS podcast with Haley, she said when she finally did she Jed, he just said to her "it's weird, it's all just happening really fast". I don't get a sense of confidence in those words, maybe Jed was questioning it then or having second thoughts (which was at the CMA fest)
Like the bubble love burst ? Jed went way beyond F5 and now was stuck with a fiancé ? All shady things are possible when it comes to Jed. Maybe his song was I’m looking for anotherrightWyatt girl .

rachel said she did not feel engaged to bryan until six months into the relationship. this is probably even more true for jed who, according to hayley, intended to leave earlier but wound up the winner. i think he must have actually fallen in love with hannah during the show unexpectedly otherwise he would have bowed out earlier.
in my view, not everything jed does is calculated and i take the things he is being accused at 50% face value because we have not heard his side and have not seen evidence of the post show behavior despite there allegedly being so much of it. hayley has told her story and has produced some evidence and i believe her. i also believe reality steve that jed cheated on hayley because he has evidence and he is known to vet things properly. it has shown me that jed has some questionable morals but that does not automatically make him a monster deserving of the hatred i have seen. this happens every season where the f2 is more popular than the f1. bryan was vilified because people loved peter. obviously it is a not an apples to apples comparison because jed has been shown to be a liar and a cheat while bryan has not. but people's reflex to believe every bad thing about the unpopular f1 is the same. jed deserves some of the judgement he's getting no doubt. but it is too much imo and i hope he has a good support system and learns a lesson about treating women better. this is all jmo only.

I think it had to do with her verbal comment. If Ben or Colton would have said the same thing, I'm sure they would have been roasted too. It doesn't necessarily have to do with gender, but people interpreted her comment as "I can do whatever I please, and Jesus will still love me." That didn't sit well with the Christian community. Jmo.

On this we can agree and perhaps on this there is severe criticism imho.

As I see it, this season really exposes how "strong" women - or really, any woman- can be manipulated by the deceitful actions of bad men.
It's so unfortunate that there are criticisms that range from Hannah being immoral in light of her religious beliefs, "stupid", doesn't know her own worth, etc. etc.
This, imo, shows how far we still need to come in supporting each other, as women.
For Hannah, she is up for scrutiny, regardless of what she chooses at this point.
Instead of tearing her down, IMO its important to bring it back to what the men in question (Luke and Jed) did. THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANY WOMAN.
Any woman can get fooled by a bad man. When Hannah chose Jed, she didn't have the information she now has. That doesn't make her an immoral woman, a stupid woman, a weak woman, an unconfident woman, etc.
It's her choices now that will reveal how she handles bad men, knowing all the information about them that she didn't know before.
I don't know Hannah personally of course, but I am passionately adamant about focusing on the actions of bad men, and less on the choices she made.
Wishing her strength.

Considering where Hannah is from I’m sure she has been around that kind of people all her life and knew what was coming. That doesn’t make it less hurtful though, so it’s good that she is with her family, and that some truly GOOD Christians of BN are giving their support.Mommyof2 wrote:mercieme wrote:So Patrick Brown made a post on his IG story 7 hours ago calling out the folks (specifically Christians) trying to judge and use negativity to break down his sister. I think the situation with Jed and Tyler is something completely different, and I don’t see why the sanctimonious bullying would have any impact on that.
Regarding what Jed is getting, well, KARMA!
