This was added right after last night’s episode 4 where apparently Yvie noted that Carlin is not funny enough for Angie. Can’t wait to see him and Angie in post show media interviews which IMO they will address him being the supposed antitype to the “funny & quirky” characteristics Angie has banged on about

And that is funny. Not in the obvious, OTT way, but more subtle, thoughtful way. Personally that is what I prefer, but I'm still not getting that vibe from him.

@Sprite....IA Carlin is not OTT & he comes across very chill to me but I personally don’t care whether or not he is funny because that’s Angie’s deal. It’s clear & crystal to me that Angie chose him, heck she was even defending him when her friend Yvie was making fun of his name & that he may not be funny so all on Angie IMO for picking the antitype she sold to the viewers. Some posters on the show’s IG think Carlin is the new Ellie from Matt A’s bachelor season but are they in for a shocker for the finale

Unless they have some very elaborate editing tricks up their sleeve, at this stage I think the audience reaction when Carlin wins will be, "huh?"

They might be able to sell him as F1 to viewers who didn't know Angie before the show but anyone familiar with her will just be confused IMO.

If even Angie's best friend couldn't see him being right for her, knowing her so well and having met him in person, that speaks volumes IMO.

Yes, if you go by sm, a lot of viewers are getting wise to the 'first date never wins' imo.  Which is why they have changed it up imo.

Didn’t Yvie tell Carlin that he has the right type of energy that Angie likes or something along those lines? I was watching live on the app and it kept on glitching so I missed a lot last night but I totally think Yvie would’ve known who Angie’s front runners were? Why would Carlin have been one of the guys selected for time with Yvie if he is a default F1? Not all the guys got chats with Yvie, right? JMO.

Yes, she did say that. I think Yvie played it very well. She said all the right things to misdirect imo

When friends and family are brought in it's usually to drive a particular narrative IMO, e.g. Matt's friend raising "concerns" over Abbie to put those thoughts in the audience's mind and make F1 look like a better option IMO.

To bring Yvie in to misdirect by saying she thinks other guys are better for Angie will just confuse viewers IMO and would have been an odd move by TPTB if Carlin was her F1 at that stage, which I don't believe he was.

I don't think TPTB deliberately planned to mix things up this season at all.  IMO Carlin was meant to be the Elly of the season, they just had to do a hasty re-design when it didn't work out with her other frontrunners IMO.

Matt’s friends met both of his F2 because his family didn’t want to show up for MTP per one of his interviews I read. In the US series, we have had a few Bettes that  have brought in their friends to check out the eventual F1, the last Bette to do this was Rachel IIRC. Yeah I wasn’t surprised that Angie had both Ryan & Carlin in the GD, just par for the typical Bette course IMO.

I’m no body language/kissing expert but imo the kiss between Angie and Carlin seemed a lot more intimate and less rehearsed than the others so far. Imo it’s carlin who gives her the butterflies and has from night 1. I might b in the minority but it does not surprise me that Carlin is f1. Angie herself may have been surprised that she is drawn to him as not her normal type however she is obviously contemplating Carlin as f1 if discussing with Yvie that his vibe maybe something she needs in her life. Imo her telling Carlin when giving the yellow rose that normally the song would have been a total cringe but she loved it is relevant to their story.
