@sdmom yup, it's those words that make sense to me now about what MF was tweeting. He gave her the opportunity to end things. She didn't so he was ok with it, problem is he fell in love.
As @Lucas15 pointed out, no way would TPTB let him talk to her when he got back. They probably have something up their sleeve for that.

Yeah I’m officially off the foiler train. Lauren Z’s personal PR campaign to save Jed just opened up the whole thing. They couldn’t have made it more obvious. I imagine that Hannah is a total wreck and they are desperately trying to find a way to get her through the rest of her obligations and to the finale. She did not look or act like “Hannah” in those Insta Stories from the Dodgers game. I actually feel bad for her. She’s young and it seems that she can’t break out of the cycle of being drawn to toxic situations. I hope she can find her way through this and get the help that she needs to be able to actually recognize what a healthy relationship should look like.

It’s confusing to me what he said, Imo, Jed is telling Haley their relationship is not going anywhere so he applied to the show; Jed was honest with Haley about his intention. That’s how I read it.
