Not too good ratings for Cash Pad - article does not definitely come out and say there is no Season 2. CNBC hired new executive in charge of prime time programming .

The problem is the network, cnbc is not popular compared to others. Some people didn’t have cnbc on their tv so they couldn’t watch

Not sure though if J&J could offer this show to HGTV if they don’t get a season 2.

I agree. The viewership would have been much higher had they chosen a channel in the regular cable lineup. But you gotta give them props for stepping out of the mundane flipping show - which is what HGTV wanted to offer them.

@vernie113 I don’t know, cause hgtv is more of a fixer upper and that’s not what j&js plans were. That’s why j&j rejected them in the first place cause hgtv wanted something else from them

Jojo said last week that they will find out if they get a second season in a month or 2

That's what I heard/read as well. HGTV wanted more of a fixer upper program from them but they wanted to focus on inspiring people to build a rental portfolio. CNBC being a business network was more suited to that. I enjoyed the shows but I can see how some people would not especially if they wanted more of a DIY fixer upper for their own home type of show. Because some people just don't think outside of the box and realize that stuff they did could be done in their own home as well.
