This was published today but says the photos were taken late last month???

Anyway, I defended the heck out of Abbie during the airing of Matt's season but this is dumb and annoying and makes me like both of them less. As if paps were waiting in their carpark... yeah right. Nice try Abbie.

Glad Todd is joining the cops and getting out of this faux-celeb stuff tbh

Ditto @leavers. Happy to defend against frankebyting and unfair editing when I see it but post-show behaviour speaks for itself IMO. Still looking forward to seeing Abbie in Paradise but she needs to stop courting the paps IMO - not a good look.

And I didn’t really defend her because I saw from the start her ‘ agent provocateur’ side loud and clear... she is now showing her immaturity and am afraid Karma will bite her in the back asset...if you know what I mean... it’s all fun and game when she doesn’t feel it, with guys who are looking for a quick good time, but abusing her seductive power will backfire on her right when she least expect it. Paradise will use all that to their advantage and our dismay.
We’ll see, would love to be proven wrong...

So Abbie wants to be Bette and I'm torn.

One side of me says HELL NO, but she was pretty good on camera, and she'd have no qualms about getting ~physical~ with her suitors which is always fun to watch IMO. Maybe TPTB could introduce Fantasy Suites just for her season. laugh out loud

Can't see it happening though - she wasn't hugely popular with the wider audience and just seems to be digging herself deeper post show IMO. Oh and ps sorry Todd it sounds like you're dumped mate, in case you didn't get the memo.

Abbie Chatfield Could Be The Next Bachelorette

Abbie Chatfield was one of the most talked about girls from the most recent season of The Bachelor with Matt Agnew.

While she ultimately didn’t win Matt’s heart, she made it to the top two and caused a stir when she infamously told Matt during THAT incredibly sexual beach date that she was “horny”.

As the season aired on TV, Abbie copped a lot of hate online and it became pretty clear that she received the villain edit. But it seems that this wouldn’t stop the reality star from dating on TV all over again!

Only this time, she wants to be in the drivers seat.

“I would love to do the Bachelorette,” Abbie said yesterday to Sydney Confidential.

“But I think it’s a really hard gig because you’re basically by yourself… I’d definitely consider (it though), I think it would be lots of fun.”

This news certainly comes as a bit of a surprise to all of us who thought that Abbie was no longer single!

Recently she was spotted kissing a former Bachelorette cast member, Todd King. But Abbie also told Sydney Confidential that the pair aren’t dating due to some location issues.

“No we’re not dating. We had like, one weekend in Brisbane and it’s been drawn out,” she said.

“He’s great but lives in Perth and just got into the police academy so he’s not going [and] I’m not moving to Perth.”

Speaking about the type of guy that she’s looking for, Abbie said that she just wants someone with a good sense of humour.

“I don’t have a type at all. Every guy that I’ve dating is completely different in age, appearance, background and job,” she continued to tell the publication.

“I want someone who’s smart and empathetic and can make me laugh.”

So could Abbie take over from Angie Kent as the Bachelorette? It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that one of the runner ups went on to take on the main role – Ali Oetjen, Matty J and Richie Strahan all did, just to name a few!

@Bobette While I agree with your reasoning I’ll add that for me, she is pursuing anything BUT finding a partner... so, to put her in the lead role would be anti climactic to what she is about, at least for now. And her publicly stating that she is for ‘ open relationships’ and is all over the place in terms of possible partner... the girl needs to mature a bit and I have my doubts about the public liking her enough to watch her ‘journey’. Even when it doesn’t always happen, the premise of the show is still to look for someone to settle down with isn’t it?

Abbie as Bette is a no from me. She pisses and moans about editing, and being misled by production, then says she’ll sign up to do it all again? No thanks.
Will be interesting if she goes into BIP with a mindset of being Alexnation (the one everyone wants) or tries to be Australia’s sweetheart but ends up single in hopes of being the Bette?

@Dirty Street Pie I'm very interested to see Abbie in Paradise. The fact that she stipulated wanting someone who can make her laugh (plus her IG stories) make me think she's got her sights set on Timm but I think she'll have competition. Game on! Hugesmile

I have had enough of 23 year olds who want to be famous on this show. The willingness to bare her rear end and straddle some guys on the beach while flip flopping on what she wants out of a partner depending on her audience...and willingly say whatever shocking bit gets her more screen time...is just a big old no from me. All I see is a fame ho Aussie version of Demi.

Depends on how long they film for, and when they start. Melbourne Cup is next Tuesday, I think a lot of the starters flew out on the Wednesday and Thursday of that week, so he couldn’t be there from the beginning. Damn this season for starting 2 weeks late!
