@LukeBlueKoala, I think Elly may be clutching a blanket in front of her?  Her hair is parted the opposite way to the pic you linked.  

I think the key might be to match Matt's shirt/jacket with past episodes, and cross-reference what Elly was wearing that night.

Yes this possibility was discussed upthread.  Finding a match for those cushions at the mansion makes me think it's in AU (though not necessarily at the mansion...) and the only pics we have of SA may be Matt at the FRC and the one of Hartbeespoort Dam

OK well it doesn't seem to be a flashback.  Matt's shirt/jacket sort of match the ep 10 style guide (without the tie) but definitely not Elly's outfit.

So maybe this is taken at a getaway location and that's where the girls were headed when they were snapped on the steps.  I note palm trees...

ETA:  Checked the mansion tour.  All the support posts seem to be square - nothing round like we see in the S/C, so I'm thinking getaway location.

The cushions are a match for this location, but Matt is wearing different clothes in the Chelsea's S/C, so IMO they must have been there for a few days.

@Bobette It might be what Elly wore in her SQT after the Final 5 group date? But it also seems to me that they don’t usually change outfits for the SQT after-the-group-dates, and it looks more like a cocktail party wear than a casual SQT one to me. I just rewatched the end-of-episode preview for next week, it does look like Elly’s cocktail party look is completely different than in the screencap of her and Matt talking sitting on the couch. That Dress from her old Instagram still looks really similar to the one in her new screencap to me, the hair is parted in a very similar fashion, but also like you mentioned, appears to be in the opposite direction. Could it be explained by the flipping of camera/image, so if that picture is mirror imaged, it might make the hair match.

I'm thinking these are both a match for a final 5 getaway location.  Same cushions which we haven't seen anywhere else, and palm trees in the background of both.  

Also minimal fairy lights since they probably didn't have time to bling out the whole place.  I haven't watched episode 12 yet but might jump to the ep 13 preview and look for more clues.

IMO the pics of the girls doing the "chemistry text" and Abbie inside on the bed with Matt could all be at this location as well.  Looking for vases and foliage to match...

@LukeBlueKoala, Similar colour and equally unflattering but they are different dresses IMO.

OK I'm back!  I really want to watch episode 12 now - been doing far too much actual work today, need to get my priorities in order.  

So IMO the getaway location is north - FAR north.  Matt wears no ties, his back is SWEATY when he's hugging the girls, and Abbie's hair is a frizzball.

Were there any Kona's in the pap pics of the final 5?  If not IMO they might chuck them all on a plane and head up near the border with QLD - maybe Byron.

That said, the architecture still has Federation features so maybe not quite that far North.  But the abundant palms would require a subtropical climate IMO.

We need to identify this "chemistry expert" and see where she is based:

They showed Elly wearing this green outfit talking to Matt about Abbie in the previews for next week.

The house for the group date is Oatlands House in Sydney.  The bedroom for Matt and Abbie (they've already broken the lamp ) is somewhere different imo.
