So they basically edited two shows this season - one for the promo, and then another one to actually air. What the hell.

Why is Abbie in all the group dates?

Can't speak for all of them, but it's imperative that she's on this one to meet Matts friend, get thrown under the bus by Sogand, so that Matts friend has a bad feeling about her, which Matt ignores until the finale because Little Matt is running the show

Yes. They are. Hiding almost all the pap pics and then a fake promo with 40% of the footage cut from the show.
