I really hope so too! And even better if Abbie is the F2, as I’m pretty sure that by the time TPTB have finished with her she won’t be anywhere near as beloved as Matty J was, so there won’t be anyone bringing them down.

@Dirty Street Pie I suspect that is how it will go down. I am not discounting Abbie being in on it. This is going to be a redeeming season for the franchise

I definitely think the only way to give the love story that TPTB promised was having a F1 like Chelsie who is the fan favorite and beloved with an F2 who is not. Abby as F2 makes sense and will only heighten the audience to cheer for Matt and Chelsie and their love story. 

I had high hopes that TPTB were going to make good on their promise for a love story and when they cast Matt those hopes were ignited some more. After watching him with Chelsie I feel like TPTB are going to deliver and give us the love story they promised. Can't wait to watch the rest of the season and see the love story unfold 

Just finished the most recent episode and I ADORE Chelsie. I love seeing shy, introverted girls get noticed! Their chemistry and banter is amazing. This is going to be one of the most beloved final couples ever IMO, especially if Abbie is F2. It’s like if Richie had picked Nikki. Chelsie is the right girl for him, not just the one he wants to bang the most.

Abbie is such a fun villain! Who would’ve ever thought the ‘I’m a Gemini!’ girl would be a legit contender, let alone the season’s big bad? When that promo went viral I thought she was a gimmick contestant who’d be gone by week 3

LOVE Chelsie’s response! It’s the quiet ones you have to watch

Just shows that shes all in for Matt, and they must have had some great interactions that we didn’t see prior to their SQT and date.

I am all-in with Matt and Chelsie, it's ridiculous. I didn't think I'd get another couple I love as much as Georgia and Lee and Colton and Cassie and so soon, and here I am getting two couples in the same year. 2019 is good for me and reality television couples

A few weird take aways from the episode - Monique gave no shits that Matt sent her home. She wasn't that it to him.

Abbey didn't take the Chelsie connection seriously at all and that was to her detriment because she's very calculated. I just think she's the type of person that only recognises one type of physical chemistry and that's quite different from Matt and Chelsie's physical connection - that one is compounded with stuff other than overt sexuality like cuddling etc. Also Abbey's hitlist is bizarre but I prefer villians that actually have good connections with the leads - makes he season better.

I think the preview with Chelsie and Helena eyerolling at Abbey illustrates how delusional her self perception is because both have been relatively neutral thus far.

Chelsie and Helena in power suits next week and I am HERE for it!

Alright, I'm sitting here with a steaming hot mug of tea ready to watch two nerds get it on and find out what's got you lot all giddy.  Let's do this. 

Episode 6

The first five minutes is garbage.  Recap of last episode's "drama".  Blah blah blah.  You wasted enough of my time with this yesterday get on with it please.

So they're on the group date now and Kristen's hair seems way longer.  How did that happen?  Has she been eating nothing but liver and biotin tablets?

Just as well we've already locked down Abbie in SA or this would have me scurrying back to the yellow shirt pic to try to rule Kristen out all over again.

The bouquet marking competition is silly but it's very interesting to see the different techniques such as this one, which I dub the "no thanks I'm out".

Next round and the girls are dressed as sister wives, as if the moral foundation of a show where women compete for a man wasn't already shaky enough.  



Kristen looks like an Austin Powers femmebot and I'm digging it.

The quality time with Vakoo is uncomfortable to watch and reinforces my belief that she was difficult to work with. Caster's remorse right there IMO.

The Date

Everyone comes out to see Chelsea off.  When have they done this before?  Was it when Keira went on a date?  I remember it from somewhere...




Multiple inconsistencies again in hair and background between Matt's ITMs.  Wow they really did a lot of reshoots to emphasise this week's narratives.  Hmmmm...

It's great to see Matt & Chelsea finally together but I HATE the food fight!  It goes on way too long and seems like an act.  I imagine Matt was told to start it. 

The pool portion of their date is much better.  I like the fact that I have seen Chelsea wearing all these clothes on her IG - says to me she went in as herself.

Back at the house the girls are discussing Chelsea being on the date and Abbie's voice is BUTCHERED to frankenbyte this line together:

"I dOn't THinK thEy HaVE AnY cHemISTry" (34:35 on the Bach archive file if anyone wants to re-listen - it's an absolute dog's breakfast.)

There is no way she actually said that sentence IMO.  Shame on you audio editors, this girl is probably hated now because of your handiwork. 

Oh my God now they're doing it again.  Every single word in "I can't imagine her being Matt's type" is spliced in from a separate speech IMO. 

Back at the Pad, the conversation between Matt and Chelsea seems real and honest.  They're clearly digging each other and this is no stage kiss.

Oh and now we're at the cocktail party and rehashing the boring stuff again.  Urrrgghhh.  But then *poof* Monique's gone and I can't say I'll miss her.

The preview of the next episode makes me groan.  I was hoping that was the end of the bollocks but looks like they're going to drag it out a while longer.

OK I'm just going to say it: I think Abbie is being thrown under the bus as a sacrificial hated F2 for the purpose of a guaranteed happy audience at the end.

I didn't see a single one of those bitchy comments about Chelsea come out of Abbie's mouth on camera - they were all constructed in the editing suite IMO.

It's a shame because Chelsea seems like such a good match for Matt, they didn't need to do it IMO.  I guess after last year's fiascos they wanted to make sure.

All I can say is I hope Abbie was paid well for her role - they'd have practically zero material without her - and I hope she comes out of it OK at the end.
