Then that would include Colton himself since he was the biggest gossip of all.

I know my lack of love for Tayshia has to do with leaving a serious boyfriend to go on the show. Otherwise should would have been my choice for next B'ette
Sorry I am catching up since I only spoiled myself last night after the episode. Being unspoiled I didn't know anything about the previous boyfriend, but for the most part, while I didn't mind her, I always got the air of Bachelorette audition from her. She was one of the most mature women this season...which let's face it...wasn't too hard. As for the tattling, I don't think she really did that. Colton asked and she answered. To me that is not tattling. Tattling is when for no reason, they try to throw a competitor under the bus. IMO nothing she said was really that outrageous or out of line.

And I've said that about him too, multiple times on here. He is a huge gossip, and that's a really unattractive quality imho.Sprite wrote:Cocoasneeze wrote:I liked her in this episode, and I have liked her throughout the season. I didn't take it that Colton was a gossip at all. After hearing from several of the women that some were not there for the right reasons he had no choice but to start questioning them . jmo

Sorry, but from what I remember, he started asking first and then everything snowballed. I have never seen a lead who encourage that behaviour like he did. My thinking was that he was following producer instructions like the good little puppet that I thought he would be.
As I said, I was unspoiled until last night. I just read this thread to get the gist of everything. I see a lot of love for Colton here...was it always like this? For me he was and still is the worst lead. His ending may have saved everything, but for me it does not excuse the torture that I had to endure watching the rest of this season. It dragged on and on and even this is being dragged out way too long. He was totally wishy washy throughout...I can't do this, I can't do that. I don't like this, I don't like that. The conversations for the most part seemed like him encouraging the "women" to tattle on one another and very little substance and frankly, no humour. And with him I always wonder just how much is his idea and how much is producer driven. Even his apparent chasing after Cassie. I think he was done, but then his producers suggest for him to go after her....think how romantic, the most dramatic final ever, everyone will love you. I know they are all manipulated to different degrees, but for me he just takes the cake. I'm sure he is an ok guy, but way too young and inexperienced to be the lead and still a major fail for me It will be interesting to see how this works out in the real world.

I do agree he had very little charisma on the dates, and I can recall very few conversations. Still think he and Cassie have great chemistry, not sure what above and beyond that. Ivacillate between thinking he and she are "meant to be" and thinking he has an unhealthy obsession with her. But he does seem to be a nice guy.

Yes, but the fact that we didn't see much in the way of conversations on the dates didn't mean that there weren't any - nor that they weren't deep and interesting. I think that TPTB were so focused on the whole virginity aspect of this bachelor that all they really wanted to show us was either physical or conversations that cast doubt on his final pick.

Yeah, how many "Why are you a virgin?" conversations did we see? Then the Caelynn conversation, and Demi's mom in prison. Add there the feuds and arguments, and the right reasons conversations, never been kissed girl, and that's what was going to be shown of conversations. They concentrated on the chemistry aspect after that. Imo.Relalou wrote:Billysmom wrote:I do agree he had very little charisma on the dates, and I can recall very few conversations. When Colton kept saying last night that he didn't fight for his last relationship, who is he referring to? Aly? Tia? Becca?

and thinking he has an unhealthy obsession with her.
There's no vacillating with me on that one. That's straight up what it was to me. From reading the other comments, I guess I'm in the minority on this one but sorry, didn't find any of this romantic. It might have helped if they'd shown Cassie upset, seemingly regretting her decision but instead they chose to show her basically confirming her not being ready to commit to Colton, then saying how ready she was to just get back to her family and her life. These were not the words and demeanor of a woman who regretted her decision. And then there's Colton blubbering like a five year old about, "I just want Cassie".
The whole thing was just painfully awkward and a little creepy to be honest. Sorry, maybe I'm being overly sensitive in the current social climate, but the whole thing felt too much, "you can wear someone down even if they say no". She walked away, made her decision, like dude let it go. More importantly, sorry, they'd have to do a hell of job tonight on the ATFR to convince me that woman is into Colton because I ain't buying it. Granted, I was once told I'm the most unromantic person in the world, so there's that. Because I'm telling you right now, if I tell a guy I'm not interested, don't be jumping any walls for me or bugging me after because I will call the cops.

@lleyki I love when you post! Totally agree!
And I like to think that I'm a romantic, but it's only romantic to chase someone who wants to be chased. The girl left when he was literally shaking with heartbreak and begging until every shred of pride he ever had was gone. And two days later, she seems to not have a drop of sadness or confusion about the whole thing. Just seems like she was backed into a corner, either dumping the Bachelor a second time and becoming public enemy #1 or giving it a shot.
IMO.

You and me both. To me he is too immature in relationships. He just seems to want what he can't have. I have to wonder how much he sabotages his relationships this way. He wants the unattainable women so they can dump him, and then he can play the woe is me and this is why I am still a virgin. But if someone shows interest, he runs for the hills and then claims he isn't feeling it or I am still heartbroken over the last one that broke my heart.
I have to wonder just how much he actually wants a relationship.
