@Bobette Thank you   South Africa is getting lots of tourism this year. Can't blame them, SA is stunning!  

Looks like the show will film in SA for it's entirety. Makes sense if they want warmer weather as it's Spring/Summer

Deadline understands that Warner Bros-owned Ricochet is producing the revamped entertainment to air next year. The ten-part series will start filming in South Africa in the autumn.

If you’re feeling sad about Big Brother coming to an end, then fear not reality show lovers – Channel 5 is making sure that you still get your fill. Following the announcement that Big Brother is coming to an end after 18 years, it’s been announced that Channel 5 will be bringing you a UK version of The Bachelor instead. The Bachelor originally made it’s debut on UK TV in 2003 for BBC3

It later relaunched on Channel 5 for two celebrity seasons in 2013, with Spencer Matthews and Gavin Henson on offer. Though despite the best efforts, it was cancelled after just two seasons as it failed to bring in the numbers. However, with a fresh new lick of paint and the success of Love Island for rival ITV, it appears that they want to give things another go and they have kissed and made up with Warner Bros.

According to Deadline, the show will be set in South Africa and will begin filming later this year.

Where is it being filmed?

According to reports from Deadline, The Bachelor UK will start filming in South Africa in the autumn.

The filmed episodes will then be turned into a ten-part series.

It is likely to be aired in 2019, considering it has to be filmed and edited.
