Strong wording
If you read the interview from who magazine, it gives more context, she was talking about if she didn't get choosen that she'd be devastated but "I'm not going to lock myself in my room and cry" and what she'd have to do. it is strong wording. However, if she was dumped I doubt TPTB would be letting her say these negative things. If you also read the who magazine she says alot of good things about Nick.

I think DM is having some fun making it sound like it's how Britt feels about splitting with Nick but I looked at the WHO mag article DM quoted and it seems like Britt's talking pre-HTDs (DM says the interview was conducted around HTD filming?). So if Britt is not picked and then if she is picked.
I have a hard time thinking that Britt would be talking like "it is what it is" if she is split from Nick. I think she would, whether genuine or not, play out heartbreak.
https://www.who.com.au/the-bachelor-brittany-not-in-love-with-nickBritt admits she would be devastated if she didn’t have a future with the Honey Badger, but she maintains she won’t put her life on hold for anyone.
“At this stage, things are getting real and there are a lot of strong feelings there... This point comes and you start to see each other together and you realise this could be something really good. While I’d be really hurt, everything in life depends on how you react in certain situations. I’d be hurt, but you’ve just got to get on with it... For me, personally, I’m not going to lock myself in my room and cry."
However, if the lovable larrikin does choose in her favour, any future plans would be a mutual decision.
“I’m not one of those girls who plans their wedding and picks their ring and dress. It would be a small or medium wedding; I want something really low-key like maybe on a beach. And then a party with friends.”

Yes, I read it, but IMO as I said upthread, the fact that DM are publishing quotes and bits and pieces from various sources (in context or not) to support the story of Nick & Britt having split, makes me think they are very confident that they've split.

IA that DM is cherry-picking to push their story of a split. I just don't buy that Britt would be saying she's not in love or will be fine. Genuine or not, it's in her best interest to push being in love and being heartbroken and get all the viewers on her side. It worked for Matty J

Thank you @nickbadger for taking me on possibly the best date yet...
I guess there are no hard feelings

Yes I agree Britt is going to play victim IMO - I've thought so since she went OTT on IG with the pics from her first date. Gotta give the illusion that she was "all in" even though IMO she wasn't.
These are all old interviews they're quoting from though - I'm sure by the time the show's over she will have worked out exactly what to say to milk the most benefit for herself from the situation.
True colours are going to be revealed by how people frame themselves in post-show interviews IMO.

Has the age limit been as high as 40 before? I know it was for the men on Sophie's season, but for women?

Dr Chris is 40 isn't he? Maybe they've upped the age limit for him? Or they're going to edit on of Ali's older escapees as next Bach?

STOP IT. You'll get our hopes up. After it was mentioned here I watched the segment from HYBPA. He seemed genuinely horrified at the suggestion.

they can still audition all ages and pick the appropriate ones for the chosen lead and also keep everyone in their bank just in case. does not mean the lead is 40. They just open the range and depending who they will pick as bach/ette they will pick who they want
the interesting part for me when I read this was the ''AND'' .... I thought bisexuel lead......... If we read twitter this is pretty much a major shouting to make it happen. not talking about brooke especially but she already has 109K followers and next week this number will explode even more. I am not sure she will be interested though. If she left, it means she has some integrity. I am still waiting the shoe to drop about her. Is she truly that genuine? The contestants rarely are. But deciding to quit is for me a good sign she might be.

re: The "AND", they always do that. It was the age range for women I thought was unusual. Anyway turns out it was the same ages last year... http://australia2018auditions.com/the-bachelor-australia-auditions-2018-details.html

Imo, Sophie was a plus for TPTB with her ability to communicate and make the itms fun with her charming personality. I think that the show through Soph itm and in conversation left in quite a bit of deliberate lines. However what purpose was there for that line of editing?
