Wow. Those roads look so scary. Stay safe @Aunties_Love .

Ok, stick a fork in me, I am done for 2021. Today and this evening we are to get 120mm of rain, then supposed to get colder and get 4 inches of snow overnight then tomorrow it is to warm up and get another 150 mm. Can I just go to bed and wake up in 2022? the mountains will get snow as well but warm up in the morning and have major rainfall. THe areas that are having the worse mudslides and flooding also had forest fires this last summer so all that debris is coming down out of the mountains too. this global warming sucks.

Prayers for all the people in Kentucky and states affected by the horrible tornadoes.

That's so sad. Sending prayers to anyone from there. Tornados are so devastating and scary. We lived through one a long time ago in Nashville where one went through 2 miles from our house.

Well that wasn't fun. Gusts clocked at 130 km/hour no power for 6 hours. The winds were so strong. I can't imagine going through a tornadoe.

That's ok just as the house was starting to get cold, we're back in business.

@GuardianAngel I'm going to have to check my roof tomorrow. I saw shingles coming off for several of my neighbours houses as I was walking the dog before I headed to work. I thought I was going to get blown away a few times. Like you said, I can't imagine what those poor people are going through.

@Sprite I bet there are a lot of shingles off of roofs and down trees out there. I've heard fire trucks off and on for the last several hours.

The storm covered a very large area.

@GuardianAngel Well, as luck would have it, I am good. My next door neighbours have a few shingles off and about a quarter of the houses in our cul de sac have the odd shingle off, although there were a few who had strips of shingles torn off. Better than last time, but then because of all the damage then, quite a few got new roofs. Fingers crossed I'm good for a few more years before I need to get a new one myself, but then I am going for a metal roof.

It's still pretty windy my way. It was howling all night. There are still over 800 without power in my area, from Saturday because crews are now working in the excessive damaged area.

My porch pot took a beating even though I had it sheltered. That's ok, it could have been much worse.

Stay safe everyone. We will be getting this storm as well. They've been forecasting it for a couple of days. It has already started for me. Pretty little innocent snowflakes will have me cursing tomorrow.

We got snow yesterday evening which quickly turned to icy rain. It's above freezing now and it's all melted, but the wind is blowing. Stay safe, stay warm, and most of all stay healthy.
