I questioned earlier today the short amount of time between Cassie's HTD (didn't they film it last?) and a supposed second FS date. Seems like a bit of a stretch to think that her dad changed his mind and got on a plane several days after meeting Colton.

also, don't forget that the original FRC was supposed to be in Mallorca....so if they did do an FRC in Portugal, they changed venues quickly. Perhaps the pic of Colton at the "FRC" castle is really the original location of the FD RC

Could be they kept her in Portugal but still flew her father out there .IMO at this point in the show TPTB know exactly how its going to end, they know who the bachelor wants to be with and they build the ending to fit their narrative. This season they went way out there to to drum up a whole other confusing ending . (similar to Arie's) as Colton said he has so much respect for Arie after this. jmo

Interesting, you're right. That's what I think too, that they changed venues and had it at portugal. BECAUSE NOTICE THAT THERE'S ONLY 1 ROSE left. The final rose.

So my hunch is that he's waiting for cassie to come and accept his final rose. I'm just curious if him going back to the states and chasing after her works in any of this timeframe because flights are so long.

Llavenderfan, I meant that it seems weird to me. Matt strongly disapproved of an engagement during Cassie's HTD. Her FS date was probably only 5 or so days later. What would change his mind about the engagement and Colton in such a short amount of time that he would feel compelled to get on a plane, fly to Portugal and give Colton his blessing?

My best guess is that this is all producer driven and Matt somehow went along with it. Or they told Matt pre-HTD that Colton wanted Cassie but they needed his help to throw her off a bit.

I don't know.

And, I still think those "FRC" shots could be set ups. I don't think he proposed in Portugal. Maybe a promise ring or something.

Makes sense that the SC with her in that Black lace dress/gown would be when she returns and accepts his FR .and that's why we hear him saying "I'm going to ask her to be my wife""I never loved someone as much as I love her". If this is how it ends then it really will be the most dramatic, romantic, ending in Bachelor History IMO anyway.And if it does end this way, I can't imagine them topping this one. no no

AT some point I'm sure we'll either see her father talking to Colton and giving his blessings or set up phone call like they did with Ben. Getting interesting. I can't wait :nervous

@luvstx ? Matt doesn't give colton his blessing though in regards to marriage. I think that too. I think rather Colton is waiting for Cassie to choose him to be in a relationship during the FRC. I think Matt coming to portugal is to dissuade Cassie and make her think because the contestant's families have contact with the producer, and I think Matt got in contact with one of them and figured out that Cassie was clearly a front runner which is what made him go to portugal to talk to her.

I wonder now.. will Matt make ANOTHER appearance after all this, maybe if Colton goes to talk to him to clear out the air and at least get him on his side to date Cassie? Or will our last sighting of Matt on bachelor be of him going back after talking with Cassie in portugal.

So you think that Matt didn't think Cassie 'got' his disapproval in Cali? I guess it's possible....but he was pretty clear in the footage we saw with his talke with Cassie.

IF he does go to Portugal to try to dissuade her again, I definitely think we will see him at the ATFR giving his approval. They would want to close that loop for the couple and the viewers. IMO

@luvstx Wait. I'm confused.

I think of course Cassie knew that Matt was against it, but Colton never told her that her dad did not approve. Even so, she went along with things, but the final nail in the coffin to help her leave was her father showing up once more to talk with her about moving forward on FS.

AWWW that would actually be really sweet. Are the family of the bachelor and F1 in attendance usually? What if they brought matt up on the hot seat? awwwww what if it shows him hugging colton. ahhh i don't know.

According to RS, Cassis’s FD is 11/8. Colton resurfaced on sm 11/16, 6am in Spain time; is it the same time zone as Portugal?

So in 8 days, did that give enough time Colton fly to CA, back to Portugal, Cassie fly to Portugal, reconciliation, spent a few days together?

@sdmom But looking at the time the original commentator screen grabbed his likes, it seems 6 am on 11/17 spain time, not 11/16 (based on when that post was posted). Which actually makes complete sense. I posted this here as well, colton's Dad (by the facebook post) was in Paris starting 11/15 to what seemed like until the 17th or 18th (paris time).

He was quiet on the 16th, didn't post anything regarding being in paris, and on the 17th posted a picture of himself in front of the louvre.

It could have meant that filming officially wrapped up on the 16th (paris/spain time) with MTP and a finale. I found it odd that Colton's dad said that he and his family were going out to dinner on the 15th at 10 pm Paris time. So i wonder if MTP filming happened on that day, and the 16th was just a finale between cassie and colton. Thus why he was back on SM on the 17th when things wrapped up.

Someone tell me wasn't there a time where cassie was briefly back on SM and then went off again?

it feels like RS might not get the finer details we want but I actually think RS is wrong about him going back to Cali...or maybe I just hope he is because I prefer the idea that they did spend that extra time together in Portugal
