This time last year I stumbled upon the story of a girl who held herself with so much of dignity and composure in the face of a brutal heartbreak. Something about her drew me in and I wanted her to find love, to find happiness, to find her forever. So, when Becca was announced the Bachelorette, I cried happy tears.
A few months later, she found Garrett. Seeing them so happy together and giddy with love, excitement and joy made me super-elated. But, over these past 10 months they have continued to show everyone how compatible they are and what a “happy-in-love” look really looks like. Above all, they have truly showed us what an equal, open, honest and understanding relationship (with each other and their respective families/friends) can be like.
It struck a couple days ago that when everyone says, “You will find your person”; Becca goes, “You will find your Garrett”! And I couldn’t have been happier to be on this Beccett train to see this beautiful love story unfold.
